FORMULATION FOR SOFT ANTICHOLINERGIC ANALOGS
Topical formulations comprising soft glycopyrrolates are useful for treating excessive sweating conditions in subjects, such as humans suffering from hyperhidrosis. Preferably, at least one soft anticholinergic agent is provided in an effective amount or concentration in an anhydrous formulation that can inhibit excessive perspiration resulting from a condition such as hyperhidrosis.
METHOD OF CAPTURING AND STABILISING THIOLS
The present invention relates to a method of capturing and stabilising volatile thiol malodour generated on the human skin, comprising steps of: i) contacting the human skin with a substrate, ii) absorbing said thiol into the substrate, and iii) reacting said thiol with a thiol-capture agent. The invention also relates to a method of quantifying said thiol, a method of assessing the deodorizing performance of a cosmetic composition on the human skin.
Methods of providing skin care using phototherapy
The present invention relates inter alia to a cosmetic method for providing skin care comprising illuminating the skin of a subject with one or more light beams, said beams together providing light to the skin having a discontinuous spectrum. The invention also relates to a method for treating a skin-related disorder and relates to a light-emitting device for use in these methods.
FOAMING CLEANSER COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING A NON-POLAR OIL AND AMPHIPHILIC POLYMER
The disclosed technology relates to a phase stable personal care cleansing composition containing high amounts of a non-polar oil. The compositions are high foaming and provide conditioning benefits to the scalp and skin. The composition comprises: a) water; b) a crosslinked nonionic amphiphilic polymer; c) a non-polar oil phase; d) at least one fatty acid soap; and e) an optional detersive surfactant other than d).
PHARMACEUTICAL OR COSMETIC COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING HAIR LOSS OR PROMOTING HAIR GROWTH
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition or a cosmetic composition for preventing or treating hair loss, or promoting hair growth. The composition according to the present invention exhibits an excellent effect of preventing or treating hair loss and promoting hair growth, and can be safely used regardless of sex and age.
HAIR COSMETIC
A hair cosmetic comprising the following components (A) and (B) at a mass ratio of component (B) to component (A), (B)/(A), of 0.7 or more and 5.0 or less:
(A) an aromatic sulfonic acid having a molecular weight of 300 or less or a salt thereof; and
(B) a cationic polymer having a cationic charge density of 4.5 meq/g or more.
Hydrocolloid-based skin treatment
The present technology relates generally to devices for treatment of skin and skin conditions, as well as methods for preparing the devices and methods of treatment using the devices. Suitably, the devices comprise a hydrocolloid dressing and one or more active agents, wherein the amount of the active agent(s) does not reduce the absorption properties of the hydrocolloid dressing.
Oral care compositions and methods for increasing stability of the same
Anhydrous oral care compositions and methods for making and using the same are described herein. The anhydrous oral care compositions may include an orally acceptable vehicle, a peroxide whitening agent, and an abrasive system. The abrasive system may include at least one abrasive having a pellicle cleaning ratio (PCR) greater than or equal to 100.
SYNERGISTIC ANTIOXIDANT ACID COMPOUND ASSOCIATIONS
A composition that includes a novel association of antioxidant acids demonstrates an unexpected synergistic antioxidant effect that is relevant for the topical treatment of signs of aging and reducing cutaneous lipid peroxidation. The composition includes (a) gallic acid, (b) ferulic acid, (c) ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), and (d) salicylic acid, all present in the composition in amounts sufficient to produce the synergistic antioxidant activity. In some embodiments, gallic acid is present in an amount that is in the range from about 1% to about 10%, and in some examples, in an amount that is at least about 5%.
