The present invention is directed to a foaming composition comprising: from about 18% to about 36% of one or more anionic surfactants; from 0 0.1 to about 5% of one or more viscosity modifiers with a molecular weight of from about 38 to about 2800; from about 0.1 to about 10% of an anti-dandruff particulate; from about 1% to about 10% of a blowing agent, and wherein the foam density is from about 0.05 to about 0.25 g/ml.

The invention relates to a cosmetic process for depigmenting, lightening and/or whitening keratin materials, in particular the skin, which comprises the application of a cosmetic composition comprising a compound of formula (I):

The invention also relates to the cosmetic use of a compound (I) or (I′) as a whitening, lightening and/or depigmenting agent for keratin materials.

Described herein is dosage of foam including from about 5 cm.sup.3 to about 70 cm.sup.3 of the foam. The foam includes from about 0.5 g to about 4 g of a detersive surfactant; from about 0.001 g to about 4 g propellant; a foam density of from about 0.02 g/cm.sup.3 to about 0.25 g/cm.sup.3; and a bubble size distribution having an R.sub.32 of from about 5 μm to about 150 μm.

The present invention relates to a personal washing composition comprising a detersive surfactant, at least one rheology modifying polymer, at least one cationic conditioning polymer, at least one benefit agent, and an anionic polymer of polysulfonic acid. The composition is a sulfate-free or substantial sulfate-free personal washing composition. The present invention further relates to a method of achieving improved conditioning benefits and/or improved deposition of benefit agents onto hair and/or skin.

An antimicrobial personal cleansing composition comprises: (i) an aqueous continuous phase including cleansing surfactant, (ii) a dispersed phase including dispersed particles of zinc-containing antimicrobial agents; and (iii) a solubilised oily liquid conditioning agent for skin and/or hair; which is light mineral oil having a kinematic viscosity of 3 to 5 cS (mm.sup.2.Math.s.sup.−1) at 40° C. and is solubilised in wormlike micelles in the aqueous continuous phase via the incorporation of an inorganic electrolyte and a linker molecule of formula R(X).sub.n, wherein R is a C.sub.6-C.sub.10 aryl ring or a C.sub.3-C.sub.14 mono-, di- or trivalent alkyl or hydroxyalkyl chain; n is 1 to 3 and each X is independently selected from —OH, —COOH and —COO.sup.−M.sup.+ groups, where M is an alkali metal, ammonium or alkanolammonium cation; and in which the level of solubilised oily liquid conditioning agent is 0.45 to 3% by weight based on the total weight of the composition.

This invention relates to a hair care composition which provides the desired anti-dandruff efficacy with uniform deposition of the active materials on hair/scalp. This is achieved through a judicious combination of a specific cationic deposition polymer and selective anti-dandruff agent of the right particle size.

This invention relates to an antimicrobial cleansing composition, especially one which provides synergistic anti-dandruff efficacy. This is achieved through a judicious combination of anti-dandruff agent zinc pyrithione and thymol in a composition comprising synthetic anionic surfactant.

The present invention is directed to a personal care composition comprising from about 6% to about 15% of sodium lauryl sulfate; a ratio of sodium lauryl sulfate to a co-surfactant of from about 0.63:1 to about 15:1; from about 10% to about 20% of total surfactant and having a viscosity of from about 3000 cps to about 20,000 cps and wherein the personal care composition comprises less than about 2% sodium laureth sulfate.

In order to provide a new agent for actively controlling hair growth in subjects, the present disclosure is directed to an active agent for use in hair growth regulation, particularly for use in the treatment of hair growth (stimulation or inhibition), wherein the active agent activates, enhances, inactivates, blocks or dampens the cellular response of the transient receptor potential ion channel TRPM5 or interferes with the expression of the ion channel. Furthermore, the present disclosure is directed to compositions for use as a cosmetic or medicament in the treatment of hair growth; the composition comprising at least one of the aforementioned active agents and at least one auxiliary agent. In addition, a non-therapeutic method of hair growth regulation is disclosed, wherein an effective amount of at least one of the aforementioned active agents is administered to a subject.

The present invention relates to a compound represented by the following formula (I):

It also relates to a composition comprising the same and, more particularly, to a cosmetic or a sunscreen composition. It also relates to the use of such compounds in cosmetic and therapeutic applications. The invention also relates to the use of such compounds for reducing photodegradation and/or photoinstability of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The invention further relates to a material comprising a support and such a compound adhered to said support.
