The present invention is an emulsified composition, including: (A): a titanium-atom-containing silicone resin; (B): one or more oil agents selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbon oil, an ester oil, and a silicone oil, the oil agent being able to dissolve the component (A) and being liquid at 25? C.; and (C): water, where the emulsified composition contains no surfactant. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide: an emulsified composition having excellent stability and usability without a surfactant; and a cosmetic material including the above emulsified composition and having excellent feeling of use.

The present invention provides a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic which has a fresh and smooth feeling to the touch; forms a uniform coating film once applied; can make skin unevenness such as pores look less prominent while covering discolorations such as age spots and freckles; and does not give an impression of thick application. The water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic is characterized by including (A) 0.1-10% by mass of a pigment-grade titanium dioxide and (B) 0.01-2% by mass of sodium acrylate grafted starch. It is preferred that this cosmetic further includes (C) spherical particles and/or (D) a silicone elastomer.

A dry shampoo composition is provided that is highly absorbent and light weight. The water-based composition may be formulated as an aerosol mousse. The aerosol mousse may be formed by combining a propellant and a mousse concentrate, and dispensing the combination from an aerosol dispenser. The dry shampoo mousse concentrate may include at least one sebum-absorbing powder, at least one cleansing surfactant, at least one anti-caking agent, at least one plasticizer, and at least a minimum amount of an aqueous solvent.

The invented water-based cosmetic is characterized by comprising: (A) 0.1 to 5 mass % of a polyether-modified silicone having an HLB (Si) of 5 to 14; (B) one or more hydrophilic thickeners; (C) a polyol and/or an ethyl alcohol; and (D) one or more hydrophobic powders chosen from among metal oxides hydrophobically treated without using a metal soap, hydrophobic organic powders and silicone powders; wherein the (D) hydrophobic powder is dispersed in the water phase.
