The present invention relates to a method for forming a coating film including a step of coating a liquid composition I containing a solvent A, a solvent B, and a polymer C to skin, wherein a boiling point of the solvent A is lower than 99 C., and a distance Ra of the Hansen solubility parameter of the solvent A to water is 36 or less; a boiling point of the solvent B is 150 C. or higher, and a distance Ra of the Hansen solubility parameter of the solvent B to water is 40 or more; and the solvent B is compatible with the solvent A, and the polymer C is soluble in the solvent A but insoluble in the solvent B.

One of the objects of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition that comprises water-soluble silicone-modified polysaccharides and water, is capable of being blended in an aqueous phase of an emulsion, and improves the feeling during use, such as oiliness and stickiness. Furthermore, another object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition that has water resistance and oil resistance, has excellent makeup durability, and does not come off with water but can be removed with warm water. The present invention provides a cosmetic composition comprising the following components (A) and (B): (A) a silicone-modified polysaccharide comprising one or more silicone residues bonded to a hydroxyl group in a monosaccharide unit of the polysaccharide, the silicone residues being represented by the general formula (1) and having an average number of the silicone residues bonded to one mol of the monosaccharide unit of 0.001 mol or more and 0.1 mol or less, in an amount of 0.05% to 20% by mass, based on a total mass of the cosmetic composition, and (B) water in an amount of 5% to 99% by mass, based on the total mass of the cosmetic composition.

The present invention is an emulsified composition, including: (A): a titanium-atom-containing silicone resin; (B): one or more oil agents selected from the group consisting of a hydrocarbon oil, an ester oil, and a silicone oil, the oil agent being able to dissolve the component (A) and being liquid at 25 C.; and (C): water, where the emulsified composition contains no surfactant. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide: an emulsified composition having excellent stability and usability without a surfactant; and a cosmetic material including the above emulsified composition and having excellent feeling of use.
