A subject-matter of the invention is a process for dyeing keratinous substances, in particular keratinous fibres, comprising the application, to the said keratinous fibres: of at least one composition A comprising at least one non-ionic alkylpolyglucoside surfactant, at least one metal salt and at least one thickening polymer and of at least one composition B comprising one or more ortho-diphenol derivative(s).

DEGUMMING METHOD

A method for producing membrane polysaccharides from an organism selected from micro-organisms, unicellular organisms and filamentous fungi, the method including at least one step of extracting the membrane polysaccharides as well as a smaller-scale extraction of the soluble proteins, by mechanical treatment of the organism in a ball mill or by physical treatment of the organism by means of ultrasounds.

Marine extracts and biofermentations for use in cosmetics

An extract of the marine algae, Sarcodiotheca, and more particularly Sarcodiotheca gaudichaudii, is described for use in cosmetic compositions. A biofermentation of Sarcodiotheca, such as for example S. gaudichaudii, is also described. This marine bioferment is useful as a skin care active ingredient for anti-aging cosmetic applications, and particularly useful when used in combination with an extracts of red algae, such as Chondrus crispus.

Synergistic extract of Palmaria palmata and jasmine, compositions comprising same and uses thereof

The present invention relates to a synergistic extract of Palmaria palmata and of jasmine flower heads, obtained after aqueous extraction of Palmaria palmata, in which maceration of the jasmine flower heads is then carried out, the ratio of the dry weight of Palmaria palmata to the dry weight of the flower heads being between 40/60 and 95/5. The present invention also relates to a method for obtaining said synergistic extract and cosmetic compositions comprising said extract as an active agent. The invention finally relates to the cosmetic use of said composition for combating the signs of aging and for improving the elasticity of the skin, by favoring maintenance of the “stem” character of the adult dermal stem cells (SKPs).

Method and compositions for improving selective catabolysis and viability in cells of keratin surfaces

A method for increasing cellular viability in cells of keratin surfaces after exposure to UV light and/or detoxifying cells of debris that impedes healthy metabolic function by topically applying to the keratin surface a composition containing at least one autophagy activator and at least one DNA repair enzyme and a method for making a topical composition comprising the steps of (a) identifying an ingredient that activates cellular autophagy in keratinocyte cultures in vitro, and (b) formulating the ingredient into a topical composition in combination with at least one DNA repair enzyme.

The present invention relates generally to methods of use and compositions useful to reduce dark spots, age spots, and/or unwanted pigmentation of skin. The composition includes a combination of niacinamide, phytic acid, Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract, Chondrus crispus extract, and a combination of Saxifraga sarmentosa extract, Carica papaya (papaya) fruit extract, and Psidium guajava (guava) fruit extract. The composition is effective to reduce dark spots, age spots, and/or unwanted pigmentation of skin. The composition is effective to inhibit tyrosinase and/or Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma (PPAR-γ) activity. The composition is further effective to reduce melanin content in skin, particularly dark skin, in some instances by at least 30%.
