Ergothioneine-containing hens egg and method of preparing hens feed for producing same
To provide a production technique for an edible egg that contains a sufficient amount of ergothioneine by using the biological accumulation of the ergothioneine in eggs, and that has antioxidative activity. This ergothioneine-containing egg is obtained from a hen raised by being fed a hen feed for a prescribed time period, the hen feed being manufactured by manufacturing the ergothioneine-containing extract solution from a waste medium used in the production of edible mushrooms and mixing a prescribed amount of the extract solution into a feed for the hen used generally.
Amniotic membrane preparations and purified compositions and therapy for scar reversal and inhibition
Compositions having a combination of specific biological components have been found to exert a number of useful effects in mammalian cells, including modulating TGF β signaling, apoptosis, and proliferation of mammalian cells, as well as decreasing inflammation in mice. These components can be obtained commercially, or can be prepared from biological tissues such as placental tissues. Placental amniotic membrane (AM) preparations described herein include AM pieces, AM extracts, AM jelly, AM stroma, and mixtures of these compositions with additional components. The compositions can be used to treat various diseases, such as wound healing, inflammation and angiogenesis-related diseases.
Stomatological composition
A stomatological composition is provided. The stomatological composition is capable of stably compounding an antibody obtained from a hen egg yolk, and preventing diseases in an oral cavity such as odontonecrosis and periodontal disease from occurring, or improving such diseases in the oral cavity. The stomatological composition includes at least one selected from the group consisting of lipase, protease and the antibody obtained from the hen egg yolk, citric acid and a metal salt of citric acid. A total amount of the lipase, the protease and the antibody obtained from the hen egg yolk is in the range of 0.001 to 10 wt %. When an amount of the citric acid is defined as “A” [wt %] and an amount of the metal salt of citric acid is defined as “B” [wt %], the following relation is satisfied: 0.005≦A/B≦1. Further, the stomatological composition of the present invention includes a polyglyceryl fatty acid ester or an amino acid-based ampholytic surfactant as a surfactant. Further, the stomatological composition of the present invention includes a collagen.
Micronized placental tissue compositions and methods of making and using the same
Described herein are compositions composed of micronized placental components and pharmaceutical compositions thereof. The compositions have numerous medical applications. Methods for making and using the micronized compositions are also described herein.
METHODS AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE FOR COSMETIC RESULTS
Methods are disclosed for the collection and processing of amniotic material in animals. These methods involve collection of amniotic material directly during parturition or cesariean section in animals for the processing of regenerative wound treatments and tissue repairs without culturing or utilization of any excess manipulation of tissue. These materials are used to effect a cosmetic result.
Egg preparation with regenerating, analgesic and/or anti-inflammatory properties
It comprises an egg preparation comprising a mixture of the yolk and the white extracted from a fertilized egg incubated for a period comprised between 18 hours and 36 hours, wherein the mixture of the yolk and white is in a ratio in which the amount of the white is comprised between 2% and 40% by volume of the yolk volume, useful as regenerating, analgesic and/or anti-inflammatory agent, as well as its preparation process. It also relates to functional foods, dietary supplements, and pharmaceutical or veterinary compositions containing the egg preparation. It also relates to cosmetic compositions comprising the egg preparation and to its use as skin care or hair or fur care agent.
Method of treatment utilizing an acellular amnion derived therapeutic composition
Acellular amnion derived therapeutic compositions are described having a number of various compositional embodiments. An acellular amnion derived therapeutic composition has essentially no live or active amniotic cells. The amniotic cells may be destroyed, and the cells and cell debris may be removed from the acellular amnion derived therapeutic composition. An acellular amnion derived therapeutic composition may comprise micronized placental tissue particles, and/or amniotic fluid. An acellular amnion derived therapeutic composition may be a dispersion of micronized amniotic membrane combined with a fluid, such as plasma, saline, amniotic fluid, combinations thereof and the like. An acellular amnion derived therapeutic composition may be combined with a matrix component to form a composite. An acellular amnion derived therapeutic composition may be used in conjunction with a composition comprising viable cells, such as stem cells.
Methods and compositions for regenerating and repairing damaged or aged tissue or organs using nonviable irradiated or lyophilized pluripotent stem cells
Compositions and methods are provided herein for regenerating and repairing damaged or aged tissue or organs using nonviable lethally irradiated or lyophilized pluripotent stem cells. In one aspect, the compositions and methods described herein provide anti-aging benefits to the skin by increasing the hydration reducing fine lines, wrinkles, and pores of the skin. Compositions and methods are also provided for promoting wound healing using lyophilized pluripotent stem cell powder. A method is provided for inducing cardiac muscle regeneration in a primate comprising delivering nonviable lethally irradiated pluripotent stem cells to damaged or aged areas of the heart. The compositions and methods include nonviable lethally irradiated or lyophilized pluripotent stem cells. In one aspect, the compositions and methods utilize nonviable pluripotent stem cells in the form of a powder, such as lyophilized stem cells.
Placental tissue component compositions for treatment of skin defects and methods using same
The present disclosure provides methods of treating defects such as wrinkles or scars via a subdermal injection of placental tissue components. It also provides placental tissue compositions maintained within the barrel of a syringe, which may be for use in treating such defects.
