A color tray includes a first paint compartment configured to hold a first paint color; a second paint compartment configured to hold a second paint color, wherein the first and second paint compartments converge at a convergence point; and a bristle divider that partitions the first paint compartment from the second paint compartment, the bristle divider being ramped downward toward the convergence point such that a height of the bristle divider decreases toward the convergence point.

A system for dispensing hair care, the system including a dispensing device, at least one cartridge containing a hair care material configured to fit inside the dispensing device; and a dispensing container removably attached to the dispensing device wherein the dispensing container is configured to accept a portioned amount of the hair care material from the at least one cartridge.

A mascara application system includes two brushes on wands, biased together, requiring force by fingers to separate brushes. Once open or separated, brushes can be positioned on opposite sides (surfaces, top and bottom) of an eyelash (speaking of the entire lash, not individual fibers). Upon release of the force, brushes close on each other, with no affirmative force required to keep them together, fingers now free to manipulate by holding, rolling, drawing, or otherwise controlling the handle portion. A receptacle portion containing mascara product may receive, and seal the applicator with or without relative rotation, depending on the embodiment. A system for mixing two cosmetic products includes a tubular bottle defining a first reservoir containing a first product to be mixed, a tubular cartridge defining a second reservoir containing a second product to be mixed, a retaining device suitable for retaining the cartridge on the bottle in an injection position in which the first reservoir communicates with the second reservoir via the inlet orifice of the base and the injection orifice of the cartridge, a perforator having an upper edge designed to perforate the cap that seals the inlet orifice when the cartridge occupies the injection position, and a piston that seals the lower end of the cartridge and that is axially slidably mounted between an initial bottom position and a final top position in order to push the second product through the injection orifice from the second reservoir to the first reservoir.

A palette, such as for providing choices of a makeup includes a base enclosing a drawer. The drawer includes pans within pan compartments. The base has a drawer compartment from which the drawer can slide in and out. The pan is retained in the pan compartment by application of a force that presses on the bottom of the pan, and the top of the pan presses against a frame or lid. The pan is removable from the pan compartment when the drawer is slid out from the base to expose an opening in the pan compartment through which the pan is removed. When the drawer includes a fixed frame on top, the pan can slide out from the front of the drawer, and when the drawer includes lids on top, the pan can be removed from the top as well as the front of the drawer.

A dual lip product applicator having a cosmetic bullet insert. The device including a body member having a top region and a bottom region attachably connected to one another forming the body member. The top region includes a handle member having a cap at its proximate end for opening and closing a tip region of the handle member and having a lip applicator structure attached to its distal end. The cosmetic bullet insert is fixedly attached to an extraction mechanism for moving the cosmetic bullet insert up and down the internal cavity. The bottom region of the body member operates as a handle for the top region when applying the cosmetic bullet insert to a user's lips. The bottom region of the body member includes a container member for storing a lip product and for receiving a lip applicator structure for applying the lip product to the user's lips.

The cosmetic source applicator's use of single-use cartridges, disposable cartridges, and multi-use cartridges limit cartridge exposure to bacteria and other environmental germs.
