CONDITIONED MEDIUM OBTAINED FROM PLACENTAL MESENCHYMAL STEM CELLS AND USE THEREOF IN THE THERAPEUTIC TREATMENT OF PREECLAMPSIA
20170216366 · 2017-08-03 · ·

The present invention relates to a conditioned medium (CM) which is obtained by culturing, in a liquid culture medium, placental mesenchymal stem cells isolated from the placental tissue of pregnant women who not affected by preeclampsia. The conditioned medium of the present invention includes at least IL-6, IL-8 and MCP-1 proteins. The conditioned medium of the present invention is effective for the therapeutic treatment of preeclampsia.

Re-directed immunotherapy

The invention provides an agent for preventing or treating a condition characterised by the presence of unwanted cells, the agent comprising: (i) a targeting moiety that is capable of targeting to the unwanted cells; and (ii) a T cell antigen, wherein the T cell antigen can be released from the targeting moiety by selective cleavage of a cleavage site in the agent in the vicinity of the unwanted cells.

Hepatitis C virus inhibitors

The present disclosure is generally directed to antiviral compounds, and more specifically directed to combinations of compounds which can inhibit the function of the NS5A protein encoded by Hepatitis C virus (HCV), compositions comprising such combinations, and methods for inhibiting the function of the NS5A protein.

Combination of local and systemic immunomodulative therapies for melanoma and liver cancer

A method for the treatment of cancer comprising administration of a therapeutically effective amount of an intralesional chemoablative pharmaceutical composition, or variant of said composition, in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of a systemic immunomodulatory anticancer agent. A further method for the treatment of cancer comprising administration of a therapeutically effective amount of an intralesional chemoablative pharmaceutical composition, or variant of said composition, in combination with a therapeutically effective amount of a systemic targeted anticancer agent. The present invention is further directed to pharmaceutical compositions for treatment of cancer. The intralesional chemoablative pharmaceutical composition can comprise an IL chemoablative agent comprising primarily a halogenated xanthene.

Bioactive compositions derivable from platelet concentrates, and methods for preparing and using same

The present disclosure provides a composition comprising a bioactive fraction derived from a platelet concentrate, methods of making the bioactive fraction, and culture medium supplemented with the bioactive fraction. Preferred bioactive fractions have relatively low fibrinogen concentrations while retaining native growth factors in beneficial amounts and ratios.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DIABETIC FOOT PATIENT-SPECIFIC DERMAL REGENERATION SHEET AND DIABETIC FOOT PATIENT-SPECIFIC DERMAL REGENERATION SHEET MANUFACTURED USING THE SAME

The specification relates to a method of manufacturing a diabetic foot patient-specific skin regeneration sheet, and a diabetic foot patient-specific skin regeneration sheet.

COMPOSITIONS FOR SKIN AND WOUNDS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF

This disclosure relates to mRNA therapy for (i) the promotion and/or improvement of wound healing, (ii) the prevention and/or reduction of scar formation at a wound, (iii) the reduction of the visibility of a scar, and/or (iv) the treatment of epidermolysis bullosa. mRNAs for use in the invention, when intradermally (e.g., using microneedles) or topically administered in vivo, encode a wound healing polypeptide (e.g., a growth factor, a cytokine, a chemokine, a protease inhibitor, or a collagen).

CELL-FREE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR RESTORATION OR ENHANCEMENT OF TISSUE FUNCTION

Cell-free compositions for promoting restoration of tissue function or enhancement of tissue function and methods of stimulating or promoting restoration or enhancement of tissue function using the cell-free compositions. The compositions herein help stimulate endogenous pathways via a subject's own cells effectively for improving tissue function, enhancing tissue function, enhancing cell proliferation, etc. The compositions comprise one or a plurality of therapeutic components such as growth factors, extracellular matrix, DNA, RNA, hormones, drugs, cell surface receptors, enzymes, cytokines, angiogenesis modulating factors, etc., e.g., any material that can effectively activation endogenous pathways in the subject's own cell to a desired effect. The cell-free composition comprises a carrier or is attached to or integrated into and/or within a carrier. The carrier may help provide for containment of the therapeutic components and/or provide for time-release of the therapeutic components of the cell-free composition.
