Row unit for a corn head assembly having a top plate with a structured surface
A row unit of a corn head assembly for an agricultural harvester capable of reducing grain loss is provided. The row unit includes a frame and first and second spaced apart row unit arms mounted to the frame, and a top plate. The top plate is positioned about a rear end of the frame and includes an outer surface having a retaining structure configured to inhibit a flow of grain in a forward direction along the outer surface.
HEADER WITH A CROP DIVIDER DISC
A header has a frame with opposing, upright side panel assemblies, a transverse cutting bar disposed between the upright side panel assemblies, and plural rotary cutters. Each of the upright side panel assemblies has a bearing mounted to an outboard side of the upright side panel assembly with a single, circular disc freely-rotatable about the bearing.

COMBINE HEADER REEL APPARATUS FOR SUNFLOWERS
A plant pushing apparatus for mounting on a reel of a combine where the reel comprises a center shaft rotatably mounted at each end thereof to the combine header, a plurality of contact members mounted to the center shaft in a horizontal orientation radially spaced from the center shaft, and a drive operative to rotate the center shaft such that the contact members below the center shaft move in a rearward direction toward the combine header. For each contact member, a projecting shield member is adapted at an inner portion thereof for attachment to the contact member such that an outer edge of the projecting shield member is substantially horizontal and rearward of the contact member, and such that the outer edge of the projecting shield member contacts plant stalks, particularly sunflower plant stalks, and pushes the plant stalks toward the combine header ahead of the following attached contact member.

Multi-segmented deck plate auto adjustment mechanism for a harvester row unit
A row unit for a header of an agricultural harvester is provided. The row unit includes a frame, a first deck plate assembly mounted to the frame, and a second deck plate assembly mounted to the frame. The first and second deck plate assemblies each include a deck plate, a plurality of deck plate segments extending from the deck plate and moveable between a first position and a second position relative to the deck plate, and a plurality of biasing members for biasing each respective deck plate segment. The row unit includes both operator controlled macro adjustment and automatic micro adjustment of a gap between the first deck plate assembly and the second deck plate assembly. The micro adjustment is achieved through biasing members biasing each respective deck plate segment.
STALK ROLL SHAFT RETENTION ASSEMBLY
A combine head and stalk roll retention shaft apparatus. The combine head may include a plurality of combine head row units. A drive system is provided to drive the row units and a stalk roll feeder; the feeder having a drive system to drive the feeder and feed corn stalks into at least one of the plurality of combine head row units. The stalk roll retention apparatus may be slidably attached proximate to the tip of the stalk roller shaft to reduce wear of the stalk rollers and guide the corn stalks into the row unit(s). The stalk roll retention shaft apparatus may include one more bearings. The stalk roll retention shaft apparatus may also include a cap or plug on the front of the apparatus.

Row divider having a conveyor for an agricultural harvester
A corn header for a combine harvester capable of lifting stalks that have fallen sideways in a row is provided. The corn header includes a frame, a plurality of row units and a plurality of row dividers for guiding crop plants toward the row units. The frame is mounted to a forward end of the combine harvester. The plurality of row units extends forward from the frame. Each row divider is connected to and extends forward of at least one row unit, and includes a conveyor connected to a lateral side of the row divider for the purpose of lifting and propelling crop plants into the corn header. In a preferred embodiment, the conveyor is an auger including a helical flight having a non-circular profile or a plurality of notches to increase its ability to lift and propel crop plants into the corn header.
