A cutter implement for cutting crop material includes a housing, a cutter, and a push-bar. The housing has a forward end for engaging the crop material when moving in a direction of operation. The housing at least partially defines a cutting region disposed at the forward end thereof. The cutter is coupled to the housing and is operable to cut the crop material in the cutting region. The push-bar is positioned forward of the cutter relative to the direction of operation. The push-bar is operable to lean the crop material in a forward direction relative to the direction of operation. The push-bar is adjustable in a vertical direction relative to a ground surface.

A header to be coupled to an agricultural machine, such as harvesters of tall and stemmed plants, and sugar cane and sorghum. The header includes at least one base cutting assembly mounted in a floating manner in relation to a structural frame of the header through at least one pantographic arm and at least one actuator.

The cutter implement may include a housing, a cutter, and a curtain. The housing has a forward end for engaging the crop material when moving in a direction of operation. The housing at least partially defines a cutting region disposed at the forward end. The cutter is coupled to the housing and can cut the crop material in the cutting region. The curtain is coupled to the forward end of the housing and is positioned forward of the cutter relative to the direction of operation for engaging and leaning the crop material upstream of the cutter. The curtain includes a stiffness control feature operable to control a vertical stiffness of the curtain to provide a variable vertical stiffness that increases with an increase in a bend angle of the curtain rearward relative to the direction of operation.

In one aspect, the present subject matter is directed to a header-based harvesting system for agricultural harvesters that includes a header configured to be removably coupled to a front end of a harvester. The header includes a header frame and a base cutter assembly coupled to the header frame in a floating arrangement. Additionally, the system includes an actuator coupled between the header frame and the base cutter assembly, and a hydraulic circuit in fluid communication with the actuator. The hydraulic circuit is configured to allow pressurized hydraulic fluid to be supplied to the actuator for regulating the floating movement of the base cutter assembly relative to the header frame.

In one aspect, the present subject matter is directed to a header-based harvesting system for agricultural harvesters that includes a header configured to be removably coupled to a front end of a harvester. The controller configured to adjust the pitch of the plurality of the dividers on-the-go in response to changing conditions.

A crop header adjustment system including a plurality of row units, a plurality of dividers disposed between the row units, a plurality of pitch adjustment mechanisms operatively engaged with each of the plurality of dividers, and a controller in communication with the each of the plurality of pitch adjustment mechanisms. The controller configured to adjust the pitch of the plurality of the dividers on-the-go in response to changing conditions.

The curtain includes a stiffness control feature operable to control a vertical stiffness of the curtain to provide a variable vertical stiffness that increases with an increase in a bend angle of the curtain rearward relative to the direction of operation.
