A barber station apparatus is disclosed for enhancing the ability of a user to perform self-grooming functions. The apparatus may include a base assembly, an elongated member, a mirror assembly, and a docking assembly. The assemblies may be coupled together in a manner that enables the apparatus to be collapsed for storage and adjusted for different heights and positions of a user. The base assembly may be integrated with an air pump (e.g., vacuum) and may include support elements to support the other assemblies. The elongated member may retract into the base assembly and may be coupled with the docking assembly and the mirror assembly. The docking assembly may include a storage unit for hair grooming devices and the mirror assembly may include multiple interconnected mirrors that can expand around a user to enable the user to have a 360 view of a portion of their body (e.g., head, torso).

The laminate has at least one reflective layer adhered to an optically transparent bottom layer made of a plastic-silicone material. In another embodiment, the laminate includes a switchable film layer that when current is applied becomes optically opaque, allowing a split screen use of the viewing screen. For instance, when current is applied to the laminate, half of the viewing screen is a mirror and the other half allows use of software and other features of the mobile device. In yet another embodiment, a true mirror is created using software to create a reflective surface beneath a glass of the viewing screen. Control of the mirror using software and physical switches are also provided. LED lighting is also provided.

A fan member is pivotally coupled to the base member and selectively movable between upward and downward directed configurations. An upstanding support member is coupled to the upper portion of the base member and extends upwardly therefrom. A mirror is operatively coupled to an upper end of the support member such that the mirror is vertically displaced from the fan member, the mirror being movable between straight and tilted configurations. The apparatus includes a light coupled to the mirror and electrically connected to a power source, the light configured to illuminate the mirror when energized.

Various brands of razor blade assembly may removably attach to the ends of the wire adaptor. A securing mechanism, such as a gel pad, may be disposed within the razor handle on one or both sides of the wire adaptor to prevent slippage of the wire adaptor and provide dampened pivoting of the razor blade assembly.
