NEUTRAL PH COMPOSITIONS OF DOCETAXEL AND HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN
This document relates to non-covalently bound complexes including Docetaxel and human serum albumin, and to compositions comprising such complexes. This document also relates to compositions comprising Docetaxel and human serum albumin, wherein the composition is a clear aqueous solution when the composition is dissolved in an aqueous solution, and wherein the composition has a solubility in an aqueous solution of at least 10 mg/ml. This document also relates to compositions comprising Docetaxel and human serum albumin, wherein the Docetaxel and the human serum albumin in the composition have a weight ratio from about 1:50 to about 1:1000. This document also relates to compositions consisting essentially of Docetaxel and human serum albumin, wherein the Docetaxel and the human serum albumin in the composition have a weight ratio from about 1:50 to about 1:1000. The pH of the docetaxel compositions of the present disclosure is from about 5 to about 8.
GLYCOCONJUGATES AND METHODS FOR THEIR USE
Certain embodiments are directed to method for synthesizing and using glycoconjugates on the immunodominant epitope Galα(1,3)Galβ(3(1,4)GlcNAcα (Galα3LNα).
Conjugated Proteins
Described herein are semisynthetic biopolymers comprising: a plurality of polyalkylene glycol chains, a protein, and an antioxidant; wherein the polyalkylene glycol chains are conjugated to the protein through a substituted succinimide linker. In some embodiments, the compounds described herein are conjugated proteins referred to as “semisynthetic supra perfusion agents”, “semisynthetic hybrid biopolymers”, “semisynthetic supra plasma expanders”, or the like. In some embodiments, these compounds mimic the same physiological consequences of high viscosity supra plasma expanders without being highly viscous—i.e. having a viscosity greater than blood.
ALBUMIN-BINDING PRODRUG FOR PREVENTING OR TREATING CANCER AND PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed is a prodrug for preventing or treating cancer. The prodrug is mediated by albumin present in the blood to achieve high cancer selectivity for cancer and high stability. Also disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancer including the prodrug. The anticancer prodrug and the pharmaceutical composition form a conjugate with albumin even without using a carrier or delivery vector when injected in vivo. Therefore, the anticancer prodrug and the pharmaceutical composition are effective in preventing or treating cancer, have increased in vivo half-lives, and can accumulate in cancer with increased efficiency to significantly alleviate the side effects of the anticancer drug.
METHODS OF TREATING TRIPLE-NEGATIVE BREAST CANCER USING COMPOSITIONS OF ANTIBODIES AND CARRIER PROTEINS
Described herein are methods, formulations and kits for treating a patient with triple-negative breast cancer with nanoparticle complexes comprising a carrier protein (e.g., albumin), paclitaxel and a binding agent specific for a target antigen expressed by the cells (e.g., an anti-VEGF antibody).
COMBINATION THERAPIES
The present invention provides combination therapy methods of treating a proliferative disease (such as cancer) comprising a first therapy comprising administering to an individual an effective amount of a taxane in a nanoparticle composition, and a second therapy which may include the administration of an effective amount of at least one other agent that antagonizes a PD-1 pathway in a cell.
METHODS FOR PROVIDING POLYMERIC SYNTHETIC NANOCARRIERS FOR GENERATING ANTIGEN-SPECIFIC TOLERANCE IMMUNE RESPONSES
Disclosed are synthetic nanocarrier compositions that provide controlled release of immunosuppressants as well as related methods. The synthetic nanocarrier compositions may also include antigen in some embodiments.
MIC-1 and GLP-1 for use in the treatment of obesity
The invention relates to MIC-1 compounds for use in the prevention and/or treatment of obesity, wherein the MIC-1 compounds is administered simultaneously, separately or sequentially with a GLP-1 compound.
PROTOXIN-II VARIANTS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to Protoxin-II variants, polynucleotides encoding them, and methods of making and using the foregoing.
Combinations of albumin-based drug delivery systems
The present invention relates to a composition comprising at least two different albumin-based drug delivery systems, as well as to a pharmaceutical composition comprising said composition.
