A stylist utility stand that includes means for vertically elevating a stylist, such as a hair stylist, and means for supporting stylist items proximate the stylist while elevated on the means for vertically elevating the stylist. In addition, the disclosed stylist stand may include means for inhibiting the stylist from inadvertently stepping off the stylist utility stand.

An intelligent hair clipper training system includes a housing having hair associated therewith, an electric hair clipper for cutting the hair on the housing, at least one comb associated with the hair clipper, a sensor array for detecting a position of the electric hair clipper relative to the housing, an indicator arrangement for indicating different zones of hair on the housing, and a control arrangement configured to interpret positional data provided by the sensor array and cause the indicator arrangement to illuminate one or more of the zones of hair on the housing.

An intelligent hair clipper training system includes a housing having hair associated therewith, an electric hair clipper for cutting the hair on the housing, at least one comb associated with the hair clipper, a sensor array for detecting a position of the electric hair clipper relative to the housing, an indicator arrangement for indicating different zones of hair on the housing, and a control arrangement configured to interpret positional data provided by the sensor array and cause the indicator arrangement to illuminate one or more of the zones of hair on the housing.

A mannequin head holder for hairstylist training includes a mannequin head and a base member that may be mounted to a barber chair, salon chair, or the like. The base member includes attachment means on a bottom portion thereof for mounting the base to a hairdresser chair, a flexible support member, and a generally conical-shaped mannequin head mount. The attachment means may include a shaft member that is inserted into a slot on the chair that otherwise is used to attach a headrest, and may include a height adjustment mechanism. The flexible support may be gooseneck type of support or a bendable arm with a multi-directional range of motion, which allows the mannequin head to be tilted forward or backward, side to side, and to rotate from side to side, in order to imitate the head of a person who has her head turned to the right- or left-hand side.

A mannequin head holder for hairstylist training includes a mannequin head and a base member that may be mounted to a barber chair, salon chair, or the like. A longitudinal hinge connects the two boards to each other and a lock can secure the opposite longitudinal ends to each other. Compartments disposed at a surface of the boards provide storage for any necessary accessories required for the braiding or weaving process.
