ORAL CARE PRODUCT COMPRISING AN ORAL CARE RHEOLOGICAL SOLID COMPOSITION
An oral care product including an oral care rheological solid composition including a crystallizing agent, an aqueous phase, and oral care adjunct ingredient. The oral care product can be a floss, a dentifrice, and/or a whitening product. A method for making an oral care rheological solid composition by providing water, providing crystallizing agent, providing NaCl in an amount of about 10% or less, by weight of the oral care rheological solid composition; and mixing the water, crystallizing agent, and NaCl to produce the oral care rheological solid composition.
INORGANIC POWDER COMPOSITE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, WATER-IN-OIL EMULSION COMPOSITION, AND SUNSCREEN COSMETIC
Provided is an inorganic powder composite used for a water-in-oil type fine dispersion system which is excellent in emulsification and emulsification stability. The inorganic powder composite includes: an inorganic powder; and a first hydrophobic treatment agent, a second hydrophobic treatment agent, and a hydrophilic treatment agent, which cover at least one part of a surface of the inorganic powder, the first hydrophobic treatment agent is a silicon compound, the second hydrophobic treatment agent is a fatty acid, and the hydrophilic treatment agent is hydrous silica.
JANUS PARTICLE PREPARATION THROUGH TWO-PHASE INTERFACE ASSEMBLY
Disclosed herein is a Janus particle comprising: a core inorganic photocatalytic particle having a surface with a first region and a second region and an average diameter of from 50 nm to 10 nm; and a low surface energy organic coating that is susceptible to photo-degradation, which coating is covalently bound to the surface of the core inorganic photocatalytic particle where present. Also disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing said particle.
POWDER COMPOSITIONS HAVING REDUCED FRAGILITY
Pressed powder compositions are provided. The compositions include at least about 80% by weight of a mineral portion. The mineral portion comprises at least one alkylsilane-coated mineral; polyhydroxystearic acid, synthetic mica, and less than about 12% by weight of binding agents. Methods of shadowing the eyes and methods of forming pressed powder compositions are also provided.
POLYURETHANE GEL COMPOSITION AND USE THEREOF
Provided is a polyurethane gel composition containing A and B below. Here, A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (a) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having isocyanate groups at the terminals and (b) a glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), or A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (c) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having hydroxyl groups at the terminals, (d) a diisocyanate compound, and the (b) glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), and B represents an oil agent. The polyurethane gel composition of the present invention is particularly useful as a raw material for cosmetics since a film of an oil-soluble gel obtained using the polyurethane gel composition is exceptionally excellent in any point of transparency, high gloss, elasticity, and resilience.
Cosmetic including liquid cosmetic impregnated into impregnated body
A cosmetic having high portability including a liquid cosmetic impregnated in an impregnated body is provided, which is excellent in usability and cosmetic effects while keeping an ultraviolet light protection factor (SPF). A liquid cosmetic including an (A) ultraviolet light absorber in an amount of 1 to 10 mass %, and a (B) ultraviolet light scattering agent and a pigment grade titanium dioxide in an amount of 10 to 25 mass % is impregnated in an impregnated body. The liquid cosmetic is taken from the impregnated body by a finger or an applicator to be applied to the skin.
GARDENIA RED PIGMENT STABLY ADSORBED ON SURFACE OF SILICA, AND COSMETIC COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME
One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a gardenia red pigment stably adsorbed on the surface of silica, and a cosmetic composition containing the same, and more specifically, to a gardenia red pigment stably adsorbed on the surface of silica, the silica surface having a specific reactive group introduced thereto, and a cosmetic composition containing the same. Compared to conventional gardenia red pigments, the gardenia red pigment stably adsorbed on the surface of silica, according to one aspect of the present disclosure, has improved thermal stability, does not aggregate at a low pH level, and may be applied to cosmetic compositions other than water-phase cosmetic compositions, and thus can have a further expanded range of use.
Dental and medical compositions having a multiple source of metallic ions
This disclosure provides bioceramic compositions of multiparticulate crystalline multimetallic silicates having silica double tetrahedra structures, such as Strontium-akermanite (Sr.sub.2MgSi.sub.2O.sub.7), Akermanite (Ca.sub.2MgSi.sub.2O.sub.7), Baghdadite (Ca.sub.3ZrSi.sub.2O.sub.9), Hardystonite (Ca.sub.2ZnSi.sub.2O.sub.7), as sources for controlled release of multiple metallic ions, such as Ca.sup.2+, Mg.sup.2+, Zr.sup.4+, Sr.sup.2+, Zn.sup.2+ for medical and dental use. This disclosure also includes medical and dental uses of the disclosed compositions, for example, in tissue regeneration, including bone tissue.
TITANIUM DIOXIDE
A cosmetic composition includes from 0.1 wt % to 20 wt % of an organic cosmetic active ingredient which has ligand characteristics, from 0.1 wt % to 30 wt % of a titanium dioxide particulate material, and a cosmetically acceptable carrier. The titanium dioxide of the titanium dioxide particular matter is in the rutile form and has a geometric weight mean crystal size of from 0.35 m to 5 m. The particles of the titanium dioxide have a silica coating.
EMULSION COSMETIC
An elastomer improves the feel of inorganic powder on the skin. An emulsion cosmetic is characterized by containing: (A) 0.5-20 mass % of an inorganic powder having an elastomer coating layer containing (a1) and (a2); and (B) 20-80 mass % of an oil component. The elastomer is characterized by comprising: (a1) a silicone polymer having an amino group; and (a2) a carboxyl group-containing silicone polymer or a carboxyl group-containing acrylic polymer, wherein the molar ratio of the amino group to the carboxyl group, Y/X is in the range of 0.1-1.2 (Y is the molar amount of the carboxyl group contained in the component (a2), and X is the molar amount of the amino group contained in the component (a1)).
