Silicone-based copolymer resin powder, making method, and cosmetics
A silicone-based copolymer resin powder is prepared by reacting a siloxane oligomer obtained from ring-opening of (a1) a cyclic organosiloxane in the presence of (a3) an acid catalyst and (a4) an anionic surfactant with (a2) a silane coupling agent having an alkoxy group and a polymerizable double bond to obtain (A) a linear or branched organopolysiloxane containing at least 2 silicon-bonded hydroxyl groups per molecule, copolymerizing (A) the linear or branched organopolysiloxane with (B) an ethylenically unsaturated monomer to form a copolymer as a core, and further polymerizing to the copolymer another ethylenically unsaturated monomer as a shell, the powder containing up to 0.3% by weight of the cyclic organosiloxane and up to 1% by weight of the anionic surfactant.
ALKOXY-SILANES COMPOUNDS AND RELATED CONDENSATION PRODUCTS AS COSMETIC RAW MATERIALS AND FOR COATING COSMETIC POWDERS
There are described alkoxy-silanes compounds and related condensation products as cosmetic raw materials and for coating cosmetic powders; synthesis processes of such compounds and condensation products and production of coated cosmetic powders. Said cosmetic powders can be used for preparing cosmetic products such as anhydrous products for face/eyes/lips, cosmetic pencils and face/eyes emulsions.
Delayed Release Delivery Systems And Methods
A delayed release delivery system comprises a hydrophilic core particle having surface pores and containing a liquid. The particle is encapsulated in a polymer having a hydrophobic backbone and hydrophilic pendant groups. At least some of the surface pores adjacent the hydrophilic pendant groups are blocked in the presence of water and unblocked in the absence of water. The treated particle contains liquid in a weight ratio of the liquid to the porous core particle of at least 400:1.
SUNSCREEN COMPOSITION AND METHODS OF PROTECTION FROM ULTRAVIOLET AND VISIBLE LIGHT
Provided herein is a method of reducing or preventing sunburn caused from visible and ultraviolet radiation in a subject, the method comprising topically applying to the subject a sunscreen composition comprising inorganic UV filtering agents, antioxidants, and at least one inorganic pigment, wherein the at least one inorganic pigments and antioxidants are present in an amount effective to reduce or prevent sunburn caused from visible light. Also provided herein are sunscreen compositions and methods of increasing the SPF of a sunscreen composition that comprises at least one inorganic UV filtering agent.
Inorganic powder composite, method for producing same, water-in-oil emulsion composition, and sunscreen cosmetic
Provided is an inorganic powder composite used for a water-in-oil type fine dispersion system which is excellent in emulsification and emulsification stability. The inorganic powder composite includes: an inorganic powder; and a first hydrophobic treatment agent, a second hydrophobic treatment agent, and a hydrophilic treatment agent, which cover at least one part of a surface of the inorganic powder, the first hydrophobic treatment agent is a silicon compound, the second hydrophobic treatment agent is a fatty acid, and the hydrophilic treatment agent is hydrous silica.
Colored lamellar compositions
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a colored lamellar composition that may provide a wide range of colors. The process includes the steps of dispersing a colorant in a hydrocarbon, grinding the dispersed colorant to a particle size of less than about 1 micron (m), and spraying the colorant onto a lamellar substrate to provide the colored lamellar composition while mixing and heating the lamellar composition to remove the hydrocarbon.
MINERAL FACIAL SUNSCREEN
The present invention relates generally to methods and compositions useful for protecting skin from ultraviolet radiation. Disclosed are sunscreen compositions having a plurality of dispersions comprising inorganic particles of distinct average sizes that absorb, reflect, and/or scatter UV light. Certain aspects describe sunscreen compositions comprising additives providing additional cosmetic benefits.
COSMETIC HAVING TITANIUM DIOXIDE IN THE AQUEOUS PHASE
Cosmetic preparation containing or consisting of an aqueous phase containing titanium dioxide particles and one or more gums (INCI: Gum) and the preparation thereof.
Hydrophilic inorganic powder and cosmetic preparation containing the same
A hydrophilic inorganic powder having excellent self-dispersibility in water or an aqueous solvent, which could not be conventionally achieved, and a cosmetic preparation containing the hydrophilic inorganic powder are provided by combining a hydrophilic surfactant and lipophilic surfactant. There is provided the hydrophilic inorganic powder comprising an inorganic powder as a base material; a hydrophobic-coat that covers the surface of the inorganic powder; and a hydrophilic-coat that covers the hydrophobic-coat, wherein ingredients of the hydrophilic-coat comprises both a hydrophilic surfactant and a lipophilic surfactant, and each of the hydrophilic surfactant and the lipophilic surfactant has a branched alkyl moiety in their molecules, wherein the hydrophilic inorganic powder has self-dispersibility in water or an aqueous solvent.
