COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to cosmetic compositions comprising at least one inorganic micropigment, characterized in that said cosmetic compositions are substantially free of any C.sub.12-16 alkyl poly-glucoside.
Controlled release microcapsules
A method of forming microcapsules having improved physical properties and release control as well as the microcapsules formed by the process wherein the capsule wall is formed by the concurrent polymerization of monomers, oligomer and/or prepolymers on the inside of the capsule wall and different monomers, oligomers and/or prepolymers on the exterior of the capsule wall as it forms.
PROBIOTICS REVITALIZING SYSTEM FOR SKINCARE
An inedible and dry dormant state encapsulated probiotic core-shell particle for external, non-mucosal skin application is provided. From inside out, the core-shell particle has a structure of a carrier particle core serving as a nutrient source for probiotics, a first layer including a dormant probiotic species for affecting epidermal biome and at least one prebiotic as a food source for the probiotic, a polymer layer positioned over the first layer, and a dissolvable protective layer for protecting the probiotic core-shell particle from oxidation, heat and humidity. By co-applying with a releasing medium, the dissolvable protective layer and the polymer layer are dissolved to expose the dormant probiotic containing layer, the first layer. Further, the releasing medium also is able to activate and reconstitute the dormant probiotic to a live probiotic on the applied non-mucosal epidermal surface.
Sunscreen multilayer particle
The present invention relates to a multilayer UV filter particle, comprising: an odd number of alternating layers of high and low refractive index materials, wherein each layer has a refractive index that differs from that of adjacent layers by at least 0.2, the total number of layers is at least 9, and the particle does not contain a substrate. The particle according to the present invention can have a good UV filtering effect.
COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING COLOUR-NEUTRAL DEGRADABLE MICROCAPSULES
Compositions selected from detergents and cleaning agents and cosmetic agents are described. The compositions include biodegradable microcapsules including a core material and a shell. The shell includes at least one barrier layer and one stability layer. The barrier layer surrounds the core material. The stability layer includes at least one biopolymer, and is arranged on the outer surface of the barrier layer. An emulsion stabilizer is arranged at the transition between the barrier layer and the stability layer. Use of these agents is also described.
Dispersion intended for encapsulating an active product and associated use
A dispersion including a plurality of bodies dispersed in a continuous phase. Each dispersed body including an internal drop formed with an internal phase miscible with the continuous phase, the internal drop (16) receiving an active product. Each dispersed body including, around the internal drop, a membrane formed with an intermediate phase immiscible with the continuous phase and totally surrounding the internal drop. The ratio R1 of the average thickness (e) of the membrane over the average transverse dimension (D.sub.c) of the active volume delimited by the internal drop and the membrane is greater than 0.05, and is advantageously less than 0.5. The ratio R2 of the partition coefficient of the active product between the intermediate phase forming the membrane and the internal phase forming the internal drop over the viscosity of the membrane is less than 1 s.sup.1.Math.Pa.sup.1.
Improvements relating to encapsulated benefit agents
A process for the preparation of a particle, wherein the particle comprises: (a) a core comprising a hydrophobic benefit agent; (b) an outer crosslinked shell, which comprises a crosslinked, hydrophobically modified polyvinyl alcohol, which comprises a crosslinking agent comprising a first dextran aldehyde having a molecular weight of from 2,000 to 2,000,000 Da; and (c) an inner polyamide shell, wherein the shell comprises a polyamide, and wherein the polyamide comprises an aromatic group; wherein the outer crosslinked shell is formed prior to the formation of the inner polyamide shell.
Colored metallic pigment
A colored metallic pigment according to the present invention is a colored metallic pigment including at least a metallic pigment, an amorphous silicon oxide film layer formed on a surface of the metallic pigment, a metallic-particle-supporting layer formed on a surface of the amorphous silicon oxide film layer, and metallic particles formed on a surface of the metallic-particle-supporting layer, characterized in that the metallic-particle-supporting layer is formed of one or both of a metal layer and a metal oxide layer composed of a metal oxide other than silicon oxide, the metallic particles are formed to directly cover a part of the surface of the metallic-particle-supporting layer, and the amorphous silicon oxide film layer has a thickness of more than 500 nm.
CELLULOSE PARTICLE
A cellulose particle includes: a base particle containing cellulose as a main component; a first coating layer disposed on a surface of the base particle and containing a multivalent metal salt of an acid functional group-containing resin; and a second coating layer disposed on the first coating layer and containing at least one hydrophobic compound selected from fatty acids, multivalent metal salts of fatty acids, amino acid compounds, and multivalent metal salts of amino acid compounds.
