Embodiment provided herein are directed to microneedle patches for agent application on a mammal skin. The microneedle patch may comprise a patch scaffold having a surface, and a plurality of microneedles disposed on the surface. Each of the microneedles may be capable of piercing the skin 50 μm to 1000 μm deep, and comprises a composite material comprising polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and one or more additional copolymers selected from the group consisting of maltose, leucine, and dileucine.

A waxing apparatus including a dispenser having a compartment for holding wax and a tip having an aperture for dispensing wax on a user skin, the tip including a gradually decreasing cross section in the direction towards the aperture; and a heating element mounted over the compartment and over the tip and configured such that temperature inside the tip is higher than temperature inside the compartment.

A fluid dispensing comb assembly includes a comb that has a reservoir integrated therein to contain a fluid. The comb has a plurality of teeth for combing hair and each of the teeth has an opening to dispense the fluid into the hair. A heating element is integrated into the comb for heating the fluid in the reservoir. A plurality of balls is each positioned within a respective one of the teeth. Each of the balls is biased into the opening in the respective tooth for closing the opening to inhibit the fluid from passing through the opening. Each of the balls is urgeable into the respective tooth to facilitate the fluid to pass outwardly through the opening in the respective tooth.

A method of camouflaging a tonal imperfection comprising the steps of: identifying a skin tone of a user comprising a tonal imperfection; instructing the user to select a pigmented cosmetic composition adapted to camouflage the tonal imperfection based on the user's skin tone; selecting the pigmented cosmetic composition; and selectively targeting and depositing the pigmented cosmetic composition substantially only onto the tonal imperfection; wherein the pigmented cosmetic composition comprises an average composition L* value of about 10 to about 40 units greater than an average skin L* value of the user. The pigmented cosmetic composition can comprise a particular set of L*C*h* values such that when deposited onto tonal imperfections, it can result in natural, flawless looking skin, while still remaining substantially undetectable to the naked eye.

An application utensil for transferring a coloring composition in one of many patterns onto skin includes a wheel comprising a pattern of raised and submerged regions on an outer tread surface of the wheel; a wheel well that supports the wheel and allows rotation of the wheel, wherein the wheel is removable from the wheel well; and a manual grip connected to the wheel well. Described herein are methods for applying a color-altering material to the roots of the hair which reduce the amount of time needed between color applications. The color-altering material is applied horizontally with respect to the hair, and the natural color of the hair is left intact between the color-altering sessions. The methods of this disclosure incorporate the root growth into the overall color pattern of the hair, allowing a user to wait for a longer period of time in between color applications.
