A wearable infusion device, which is wearable on the body of a patient, comprises at least one reservoir for holding an infusion liquid, a first pump (11), a second pump (12), a first valve (51), a second valve (52), an orientation detector and a controller. The controller is configured for controlling of driving a first plunger (31) of the first pump and a second plunger (32) of the second pump, and for controlling of switching valve positions of the first valve and the second valve. The controller is further configured for determining a tilt angle alert condition in which a tilt angle detected by the orientation detector exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The wearable infusion device is able to automatically respond to relatively heavy movements and shocks in manners to the benefit of the infusion therapy that the patient is undergoing.

PIEZO-ACTUATED DRIVE UNIT FOR SYRINGE PUMP

A piezoelectric drive unit for a syringe pump includes a drive frame, a control unit, a push rod movable on the drive frame in an oscillating manner via a longitudinal stroke device with a first piezo actuator, a linear guide, and a carriage traversable along the linear guide. A first clamping device is coordinated by the control unit for alternating coupling and decoupling of the carriage to or from the push rod. During coupling, an advance of the carriage is generated according to the longitudinal stroke of the push rod movable from an axial starting position. In the first decoupling state, the push rod is released for a motion separate from the carriage. The first clamping device includes a second piezo actuator connected to the control unit. The second piezo actuator is configured to cause at least the first coupling state by expansion or contraction thereof.

INJECTION DEVICE

An injection device comprises: a drug storer having a first space for storing a drug; a unidirectional switch having a second space in fluid communication with the first space; and an injection body having a third space in fluid communication with the second space, wherein the third space is provided with a piston adapted to move along the injection body, and to pump the drug stored in the first space into the third space. The drug storer comprises a base and a head cover, and at least one of the base and the head cover is formed by a flexible film, thereby forming the first space for storing a drug.

THROMBECTOMY SYSTEM WITH LINEAR MAGNETIC ENCODER TRAVEL SENSING

Thrombectomy systems including a stroke length detection assembly. An illustrative drive unit for a thrombectomy system may comprise one or more panels enclosing an internal structure of the drive unit, a vertically oriented reciprocating linear actuator assembly extending between one or more support structures in an upper region of the drive unit and including a reciprocating linear actuator secured to a mounting plate and an actuator shaft, a bracket including a first portion extending generally parallel to a longitudinal axis of the actuator shaft and a second portion extending generally orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the actuator shaft, the second portion coupled to the actuator shaft, a magnetic strip affixed to a surface of the first portion of the bracket, and a magnetic sensor positioned adjacent to a first end region of the bracket. The magnetic sensor may be configured to determine a relative position of the actuator shaft.

Double action infusion pump

An infusion system includes a double action infusion pump. The pump includes a cylinder and a reciprocating piston received within the cylinder, the reciprocating piston separating a first pump chamber from a second pump chamber of the cylinder. A reciprocating motor is coupled with the reciprocating piston, and the first and second pump chambers alternate between filling and evacuating conditions with reciprocation of the reciprocating piston through operation of the reciprocating motor, and the speed of reciprocation is varied to provide a continuous output of fluid between the first and second pump chambers. A fluid source and a catheter are optionally coupled with the double action infusion pump. The catheter includes one or more infusion ports near a catheter distal portion, and the one or more infusion ports receive and expel the continuous output of fluid from the double action infusion pump.

Split piston metering pump

A micropump according to the invention uses axially oriented pistons to define a pump volume. Translating the pistons axially with respect to each other within a pump housing draws a metered amount of fluid into the pump volume from a reservoir port for delivery to a cannula port when the space is collapsed. Radially situated seals on the pistons cooperate with the axial movement to close off and open the cannula port and the reservoir port respectively at different positions of the piston stroke.

Cartridge system for delivery of medicament

A cartridge system for delivery of medicament includes as membrane placed between two disk magnets that are housed within pump body inserts. The pump body inserts having flow channels and fluid openings are between two inlet/outlet members. The inlet/outlet members each having a fluid outlet component and fluid openings are securely engaged to two reservoirs containing fluid medicaments.

Pump cartridge and console

A pump cartridge comprises a retention structure to retain a piston for shipping and storage, in which the piston can be decoupled from the retention structure to pump fluid. In the shipping and storage configuration, the piston can be positioned with the retention structure to allow sterilization gas to travel within a housing and into a cylinder distal to the piston. When placed in the console for use in a pumping configuration, the piston can be decoupled from the retention structure to form a seal within the housing. When the procedure has been completed, the pump cartridge can be decoupled from the console in a manner that disables the cartridge for subsequent use to prevent a non-sterile cartridge from being reused.

Aspiration and injection devices

Apparatuses and methods for continuous injection of fluid, in some examples the apparatuses may include a manifold, a pair of reciprocating pistons, and an actuation control that may apply both suction (aspiration) and injection of fluid as part of the same actuation. The apparatuses and methods may be configured to simplify operation of a continuous fluid injection apparatus, including operations that include an aspiration an injection of fluid to confirm the absence/presence of blood prior to injection.
