A kit according to the invention includes a tool and an implantable chamber. The implantable chamber comprises a hollow main body delimiting an internal volume opening outwards via a main opening. It further comprises a septum mounted on the main body to close the main opening, and at least one conduit extending from the main body. It also comprises a displacement member, movable relative to the main body, that projects from the main body via the conduit and actuates or sets in motion an element situated in the body of the patient. It lastly comprises a drive mechanism for driving the displacement member situated in the internal volume of the main body, in order to move the displacement member with respect to the main body. The tool includes a proximal maneuvering region and a distal region that is capable of piercing the septum to actuating the drive mechanism.

A penis erection stimulation system comprises one or more infusion needles disposed within and implanted along with one or more housings adjacent the patient's left and right corpora cavernosa. A reservoir and a pump are also implanted inside the patient's body to supply the infusion needle with infusion liquid. A drive unit also adapted for implantation inside the patient's body is arranged for advancing and retracting the tip end of the infusion needle such that it penetrates the housing at least in two different penetration areas either simultaneously or in immediate time succession, thereby injecting drugs along with the infusion liquid into the patient's body for stimulating penis erection. The drive unit is configured to laterally displace the tip end of at least one infusion needle in at least two different lateral directions to different penetration sites within said at least one penetration area.

Infusion devices and methods are provided for a drug delivery system and can include an infusion needle (1) having a tip end (2) and a drive unit (D) coupled to the infusion needle and arranged for advancing the tip end of the infusion needle to penetrate any fibrosis when the infusion device is implanted in a patient's body. The infusion needle and drive unit are designed for implantation in a patient's body. Other components of the drug delivery system may be part of the implantable infusion device or, alternatively, be for extracorporal use cooperating with the implanted infusion device. Preferably, the infusion needle can be advanced and retracted with each infusion cycle. Furthermore, upon each advancement and/or retraction, the needle may be moved laterally so as to vary the injection site. Needle (1) and drive unit (D) are preferably disposed within a body (15), with the infusion needle being arranged for penetrating a self-sealing penetration membrane (18).

A penis erection stimulation system comprises an infusion device (11) adapted for implantation inside the patient's body, at least one reservoir (R.sub.1, R.sub.2) adapted for implantation inside the patient's body in fluid connection with the infusion device to supply to the infusion device a substance to be injected into the patient's body, and a cooling device implantable along with the reservoir for keeping the content within at least one compartment of the reservoir at a temperature below 37 C. The reservoir preferably comprises at least one first compartment accommodating or adapted to accommodate a first substance and at least one second compartment accommodating or adapted to accommodate as a second substance a drug for stimulating penis erection, wherein the at least one second compartment is cooled by means of the cooling device. The infusion device preferably comprises one or more infusion needles disposed within and implanted along with one or more housings adjacent the patient's left and right corpora cavernosa.
