Medical pump device
11116894 · 2021-09-14 · ·

A medical pump device for delivering a medical fluid includes a base body and elastomeric hollow membrane secured to the base body and arranged in such a way that a pump volume for filling with medical fluid is formed between the base body and hollow membrane. The hollow membrane, in an at least partially filled state of the pump volume, is elastically extended and exerts a delivery pressure on the pump volume. The medical pump device has a sensor system set up to determine the extension of the hollow membrane such that, by using the extension that is thus determined, filling level information concerning the filling state of the pump volume is determined. The medical pump device can be used in infusion or transfusion arrangements.

MEDICAL FLUID INJECTION DEVICE WITH FILL INDICATOR

An injection device has a generally disc-shaped housing including an arcuate clear section and graduated markings in an arcuate arrangement on or adjacent to the clear section. An arcuately expandable member is contained within the housing and is configured to hold a volume of liquid. An indicator is connected to the expandable member and positioned within the housing. The indicator is configured to move along an arcuate path adjacent to the clear section such that alignment of the indicator with the graduated markings indicates a volume of liquid within the expandable member.

SYRINGE RETENTION FEATURE FOR FLUID INJECTOR SYSTEM

An injector system for delivering a medical fluid, the injector system including an injector configured to receive at least one syringe, the injector comprising at least one piston for releasably engaging and reciprocally driving a plunger or an end wall of the at least one syringe; and a syringe retaining interface comprising one or more retaining elements configured to engage at least a portion of a distal end portion of the at least one syringe to limit movement of the at least one syringe in a distal direction relative to the injector as the medical fluid is delivered from the reservoir via distal movement of the at least one piston.

IMPLANTABLE EXTERNALLY DRIVEN FLUID DELIVERY SYSTEM

An implantable externally driven fluid delivery system for localized delivery of medical agents and drugs, such as antibiotics, may be provided herein. The fluid delivery system includes a housing that incorporates a filling septum connected to a flexible internal reservoir. The reservoir is connected to a miniature diaphragm pump with coupled magnetic components. The entire fluid delivery system is implantable into a body cavity or surgically formed location that provides for local medical agent delivery. The reservoir is filled via percutaneous injection through the skin into the septum. Fluid delivery is achieved through proximity of the external controller that generates an oscillating or reversing magnetic field suitable to actuate the pump's diaphragm resulting in controlled fluid flow. Once local drug delivery treatment is complete, the controller can be discarded.

SYRINGE ROLLING APPARATUS AND METHOD
20210030950 · 2021-02-04 ·

A syringe rolling apparatus for initial rolling of a rolling diaphragm syringe from an unrolled state to a rolled state has a pressure jacket configured for receiving an empty, unrolled rolling diaphragm syringe, a piston reciprocally movable within the pressure jacket and configured for contacting an end wall of the syringe rolling diaphragm syringe to initiate a rolling of a flexible sidewall of the rolling diaphragm syringe, and a seal assembly configured for engaging an open discharge neck of the rolling diaphragm syringe. The seal assembly is in fluid communication with a source of pressurized fluid to pressurize an interior of the rolling diaphragm syringe during a distal movement of the piston. A method for initial rolling of a rolling diaphragm syringe from an unrolled state to a rolled state is also disclosed.

Drug Delivery System

A delivery system configured to be secured on a patient skin which comprises a first container having a first variable volume; a second container having a second variable volume; and a skin adherable unit configured to secure the first container and the second container to the patient skin. The medical device may further comprise a containers' interface configured to operatively couple the first container and the second container such that a volume increase of the second variable volume may induce a volume decrease of the first variable volume. Preferentially, the system further comprises a vent device configured to prevent any unintended pressure increase in the first storage compartment.

Wearable liquid supplying device for human insulin injection

A wearable liquid supplying device for insulin injection is fixed on a user's body through a ring belt and includes a carrier body, a flow-guiding-and-actuating unit, a sensor, an air bag, a miniature air pump and a driving chip. The sensor measures sweat on human skin to detect a level of the blood glucose. The driving chip receives the glucose monitoring data and accordingly controls the actuation of the flow-guiding-and-actuating unit and the open/closed states of the switching valves. The miniature air pump is enabled to inhale gas into the air bag, so that the air bag is inflated and the ring belt contacts the human skin tightly. The flow-guiding-and-actuating unit is enabled to generate a pressure difference so that the insulin liquid is transported to a liquid guiding outlet through a liquid guiding channel and flows into the microneedle patch for being injected into the subcutaneous tissue.

Status Indicator of a Drug Delivery System

The present disclosure relates to an indicator device which comprises one or several plungers inside an elongated cavity. Said indicator device, is intended to provide to the user at least one information related to the current status of a delivery system. The indicator device comprises at least one movable element configured to reach pre-determined positions in response to the status of the delivery system.

METHOD OF OPERATING A DISPOSABLE PUMPING UNIT

A method of operating a disposable pumping unit includes enabling the disposable pumping unit to be loaded into a peritoneal dialysis hardware unit between a door and a housing of the hardware unit; structuring the disposable pumping unit to have a fluid pump receptacle, the fluid pump receptacle constructed and arranged to extend from both surfaces of the unit so as to fit within a first opening provided in the door and a second opening provided in the housing of the hardware unit; and enabling the disposable pumping unit to be guided into the hardware unit such that the fluid pump receptacle becomes aligned with the opposing first and second openings when the door is closed against the housing.

A DUAL ACTIVE VALVE FLUID PRESSURE OPERATED POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP
20200384189 · 2020-12-10 ·

A dual active valve positive displacement pump comprising: A housing holding the pump's components. A piston with an internal cavity divided into two fluidly-isolated volumes by a freely-moving diaphragm, one of the two volumes being fluidly connected with a volume between piston and housing which contains driver pressure from a pressure source. The piston is reciprocally movable inside the housing under positive or negative driver pressure. An active inlet valve operable by driver pressure actuates when the driver pressure is more than the maximum pressure at the pump inlet port. An active outlet valve operable by driver pressure actuates when the driver pressure is less than the minimum pressure at the pump outlet port. The diaphragm separates pumped fluid from operational fluid used to move the diaphragm inside the piston cavity and transmits pressure at the inlet port when the inlet valve is open, and at the outlet port when the outlet valve is open.
