Bladder for an infusion assembly
Bladders and elastomeric pumps for infusion assemblies are provided. For example, a bladder may comprise a body extending over a length from a first end to an opposing second end; an outer diameter; an inner diameter; and a wall thickness. The wall thickness may gradually transition from a first wall thickness at the first end to a second wall thickness at the second end. In other embodiments, the wall thickness at a midpoint of the length is different than the wall thickness at each of the first end and the second end. An elastomeric pump may comprise an inflatable elastomeric bladder and a mandrel. The bladder includes a body extending over a bladder length from a first bladder end to an opposing second bladder end and a wall thickness, which is different at a midpoint of the bladder length than at each of the first and second bladder ends.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE DEVICE
A drug delivery device and a method of operating the drug delivery device are provided. The drug delivery device includes a light emitter disposed in a body to emit light based on a control signal, a drug reservoir configured to react to the light emitted from the light emitter and to release a drug, a photosensor configured to sense light passing through the drug reservoir, and a controller configured to monitor a degree to which the drug reservoir reacts to the light, based on an amount of light sensed by the photosensor.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PRESENCE OF AN INFUSION CARTRIDGE IN AN INFUSION PUMP
Infusion devices, systems, and methods can detect a presence or absence of an infusion cartridge in an infusion pump. Embodiments may include a loading sequence, recording loading pulse width modulation (PWM) commands applied to an infusion pump motor during the loading sequence, setting a value of threshold PWM commands based on the commands applied during the loading sequence and comparing values of operational PWM commands applied during pumping operations to the value of the threshold PWM commands. If the value of the operational PWM commands drops below the threshold by a predetermined amount, a missing infusion cartridge warning may be generated.
Pressure regulation system
A pressure regulation system for discharging a liquid having a predetermined liquid pressure from a liquid opening, including an elastic bag having a liquid phase and a gas phase, where the liquid opening in an operational position of the elastic bag is formed in the lower area of the elastic bag, at least two push elements, at least one drive unit and a control unit. The elastic bag has a gas opening, which extends into the gas phase. The pressure regulation system has a ventilation unit, which is connected to the control unit for communication and which connects to the gas opening of the elastic bag. The ventilation unit regulates the liquid pressure of the liquid discharged through the liquid opening by means of a gas supply into the elastic bag and/or a gas discharge from the elastic bag.
LIQUID SUPPLY APPARATUS
There is provided a liquid supply apparatus eliminating the need for a power supply, having relatively light weight and small footprint, and ensuring a stable liquid supply. The liquid supply apparatus includes a first support member, a second support member, a balloon having one end supported by the first support member and the other end supported by the second support member, and a casing having a constant longitudinal length. The balloon is disposed in the casing and is configured so as to be able to hold a liquid therein and discharge the liquid therefrom. When the balloon holds the liquid, the one end and the other end of the balloon are positioned in the case.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERITONEAL DIALYSIS HAVING POINT OF USE DIALYSIS FLUID PREPARATION INCLUDING MIXING AND HEATING THEREFORE
A peritoneal dialysis system includes a cycler including a pump actuator, a heater and a heating pan operable with the heater, and a disposable set operable with the cycler. The heating pan includes a sidewall forming a slot. The disposable set includes a pumping cassette and a heater/mixing container. The pumping cassette includes a pump chamber configured to be actuated by the pump actuator. Additionally, the heater/mixing container is in fluid communication with the pumping cassette and is sized to be received at the heating pan. The heater/mixing container includes a port configured such that when the port is slid into the slot of the heater pan sidewall, the port is prevented from rotating about an axis transverse to a direction of flow through the port.
Mechanically actuated fluid infusion device
A fluid infusion device, for delivery of a medication fluid to the body of a user, includes a housing, a fluid reservoir for the medication fluid, a dosing mechanism, an infusion component, and a mechanical actuator. The fluid reservoir and the dosing mechanism are located in the housing, and the dosing mechanism is coupled to receive the medication fluid from the fluid reservoir. The dosing mechanism has an adjustable fluid chamber that defines a variable dosage volume. The infusion component is coupled to the dosing mechanism to receive the medication fluid from the adjustable fluid chamber. The mechanical actuator is coupled to the dosing mechanism such that operation of the mechanical actuator causes the medication fluid to be expelled from the adjustable fluid chamber to the infusion component.
