A backpack including a body and at least one shoulder strap. A haul handle to be grasped and including a hollow interior and a closure so as form a selectively openable rain cover storage compartment. A rain cover configured and sized to cover at least the backpack body, the rain cover having at least a deployed condition in which the rain cover extends from the top portion downwardly to cover over the entire backpack body to protect the backpack body and the articles contained within the backpack body from precipitation while the backpack is worn by the user during precipitation, and the rain cover having at least a stowed condition within the rain cover storage compartment of the haul handle to provide padding to the haul handle when the hand of the user grasps the haul handle to pick-up the backpack.

A collapsible backpack cooler includes a base, a collapsible portion, a back portion, and one or more straps configured for use by a user in securing the collapsible backpack cooler to their back. The collapsible backpack cooler is configured to allow the collapsible backpack cooler to transition between an expanded configuration, and a collapsed configuration having a reduced volume as compared to the expanded configuration.

A backpack cover including (i) a shell having an opening and (ii) a band surrounding the perimeter and capable of securing the shell on a backpack. The backpack cover may be convertible and further include at least one pair of fasteners being capable of having a shoulder strap attached thereto and a zipper including a first set of teeth and a second set of teeth configured to engage with each other and close the opening. The backpack cover may also further include at least one solar panel and an output electrically connected, via a voltage converter to the solar panel.

An inflatable hammock comprises a panel that has an air containing region and a bonded region. A plurality of tension members attached on both ends of the panel and having free ends that are configured to suspend the panel. An exemplary inflatable hammock may convert between a first configuration for use as a hammock and a second configuration as a sleeping pad as described herein.

A hybrid pillow includes a first coil panel and a second coil panel which are joined along peripheral edges to form an inner shell defining a gap therebetween. The first coil panel is formed of a plurality of coil springs, an upper fabric layer, and a lower fabric layer, with the upper fabric layer and the lower fabric layer joined between the plurality of coil springs and along peripheral edges of the first coil panel. A hand and/or shoulder carrier bag having a removable panel. The removable panel may be releasably and selectively coupled to the bag using various mechanisms, such as hook-and-loop fasteners, zippers, magnets, clasps, clamps, hooks, buckles, snaps, and buttons. The removable panel has a display side that acts as the front face of the bag when coupled to the bag. The removable panel has a hidden side that, when coupled to the bag, forms a depth-wise flexible blister pocket into which temporary storage items may be placed. The removeable panel may include an access slit through which the blister pocket is accessed. The peripheral edges of the removeable panel include piping that generally aligns with the outer edges of the bag and obscures the fact that the removable panel is not a monolithic part of the bag.

An illuminated backpack assembly includes a backpack that is wearable on a user's back. A plurality of light strips is each attached to the backpack to emit light outwardly from the backpack. Each of the light strips is strategically positioned on the backpack for enhancing visibility of the backpack in a darkened environment to facilitate the user to be visually identified by a companion from a distance in the darkened environment. A communication unit is integrated into the backpack and the communication unit is in remote communication with a personal electronic device. The communication unit is in communication with each of the light strips and the communication unit downloads an operational subroutine from the personal electronic device. In this way the light strips can be actuated according to the operational subroutine to enhance the ornamental appearance of the backpack.

Embodiments of a strap assembly system for a golf bag are described herein. The strap assembly system can be converted between a single-strap configuration or a double-strap configuration. The strap assembly system comprises a first strap, a second strap, and a back puck. The back puck comprises first and second attachment openings for securing the first strap. The back puck further comprises first and second side openings that define a linear pathway and are configured to receive the second strap. The second strap can move freely along the linear pathway.

A method for putting on or taking off a piece of clothing or for closing, putting on, opening, or taking off a piece of luggage, including the steps of tightening or loosening by means of a tensioning element driven by a driven tension roller and a switching element. The tightening or loosening takes place by actuation of the switching element. The switching element has a number of contact-sensitive sensors which are arranged adjacent to one another and form a surface accessible to the user of the piece of clothing or of the piece of luggage. The method includes the steps of scanning the surface of the sensors by the user in a first direction, detecting the signal of the sensors by a controller, and causing a first tensioning force level or a first closing path of the tensioning element to be initiated by the controller and the electric motor.

A fishing rod holder system for easily transporting, storing, and/or using fishing rods, including one or more rod holding members releasably mountable to receiving member affixed to a separate structure. The one or more rod holding members can be attachable/detachable and swivelable/rotatable about the receiving member. In some embodiments, the positions of the one or more rod holding members can be fixed or adjustable with respect to the receiving member. Further, the rod holding members are substantially hollow tubes for receiving the handle of a fishing rod, wherein the rod holding members may include various configurations of notches and/or slots for engaging with the fishing rod/reel.
