The invention provides in one aspect a drug delivery device comprising a drug container (16), and a plunger (18) positioned within the container assembly, the drug container assembly having an outlet for dispensing the drug, wherein, in an initial position, the outlet is sealed; a drive mechanism comprising a first stored energy source (42) operable to apply pressure on the plunger or the drug container to pressurize the drug, and a first release mechanism operable to unseal the outlet after the drug has been pressurized. In another aspect, there is provided a drug delivery device comprising a housing, including an external housing portion configured to be held in use and a drug containing portion containing a drug, a needle assembly comprising a needle fixed to a needle hub, the needle hub configured to move relative to the drug containing portion from an initial position within the housing to an insertion position in which the needle extends beyond the housing, a first stored energy source configured to move the needle hub from the initial position to the insertion position, and a plunger within the housing and configured to move relative to the drug containing portion to eject the drug through the needle when the needle is in the insertion position.
Drug delivery device for pharmaceutical compositions
The present invention relates to a dual-chamber pack with a first chamber comprising a container; and a second chamber comprising a reservoir, a biphasic connector, a plunger, and a plug with a breakable polymeric membrane. The container of the first chamber is prefilled with a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle and the reservoir of the second chamber is prefilled with a solid composition of an active ingredient, wherein the solid composition of the active ingredient is mixed with the pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle to form a liquid pharmaceutical composition upon activation of the dual-chamber pack.

DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH RETAINING MEMBER
A drug delivery device is provided for delivering a drug to a target tissue site. The drug delivery device comprises a body comprising a proximal end and a distal end and a chamber disposed therebetween. An upper portion is disposed about the proximal end of the body. A retaining member is disposed within a wall of the body and engageable with the chamber and a plunger is configured for disposal within the upper portion and the chamber. The upper portion is movable about the proximal end of the body to open the chamber such that the plunger is disposed within a passageway defined within the chamber, and movement of the plunger in a distal direction pushes the retaining member such that the drug moves out of the body. Methods are also disclosed.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE FOR PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to a dual-chamber pack with a first chamber comprising a container; and a second chamber comprising a reservoir, a biphasic connector, a plunger, and a plug with a breakable polymeric membrane. The container of the first chamber is prefilled with a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle and the reservoir of the second chamber is prefilled with a solid composition of an active ingredient, wherein the solid composition of the active ingredient is mixed with the pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle to form a liquid pharmaceutical composition upon activation of the dual-chamber pack.
SEALED NEEDLE ASSEMBLY FOR MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
The disclosure relates to a needle assembly adapted to couple with a medicament delivery device including a needle having a proximal tip and a distal tip, a needle hub coupled to the needle, a body adapted to engage the needle hub, a removable needle cap adapted to cover the distal tip, and a removable sealing element. The sealing element is adapted to seal an open proximal end of a compartment of the body, including the proximal tip, in such a manner that the proximal tip is housed in a sealed environment before use of the needle. The disclosure further relates to a medicament delivery device including such a needle assembly.
Drug delivery device with retaining member
A drug delivery device is provided for delivering a drug to a target tissue site. The drug delivery device comprises a body comprising a proximal end and a distal end and a chamber disposed therebetween. An upper portion is disposed about the proximal end of the body. A retaining member is disposed within a wall of the body and engageable with the chamber and a plunger is configured for disposal within the upper portion and the chamber. The upper portion is movable about the proximal end of the body to open the chamber such that the plunger is disposed within a passageway defined within the chamber, and movement of the plunger in a distal direction pushes the retaining member such that the drug moves out of the body. Methods are also disclosed.
