An injector may include a container having a wall with an interior surface defining a closed sterile reservoir filled with a drug product. The injector may also include a fluid delivery system comprising a sterile container needle that is in fluid communication with the container in a delivery state, but may or may not be in fluid communication with the container in a storage state. Further, the injector may include an actuator that is adapted to move the container needle from the storage state to the delivery state.

WEARABLE DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE

A wearable drug delivery device has a needle assembly and a drug vial arranged side-by-side. This arrangement makes the device compact so that it can be easily worn around a user's wrist, for example. When the user triggers the device to inject a dose of medication like epinephrine, in an orchestrated sequence, a first spring drives the needle assembly downward and inserts a needle into the user while connecting the needle assembly to the drug vial. A second spring then delivers the dose from the drug vial through the needle and into the user. Advantageously, the small form factor encourages the user to wear the device and have lifesaving medication at the ready.

An injector may include a container having a wall with an interior surface defining a closed sterile reservoir filled with a medical fluid or drug product. The injector may also include a fluid delivery system comprising a sterile container needle that is in fluid communication with the container in a delivery state, but may or may not be in fluid communication with the container in a storage state. The sterile container needle is attached to a connector, the connector mechanically coupled to the container to secure the sterile container needle to the container with the needle in the storage state. Further, the injector may include an actuator that is adapted to move the container needle from the storage state to the delivery state.

CONTAINER ADAPTER FOR REMOVABLY ATTACHABLE SYRINGE
20210353863 · 2021-11-18 ·

Apparatus for removably attaching a syringe to a container for extracting fluid therefrom into the syringe, which is particularly beneficial for fluid having a relatively high viscosity. The disclosed container adapter holds a syringe adapter securely therein (the syringe adapter configured for providing a fluid path between a container and a syringe) while also securing the syringe adapter to the container, and provides an attachment point for securely attaching the syringe to the syringe adapter and thus to the container (at least) while the fluid is withdrawn from the container into the syringe. The syringe is removably attached to an end of the syringe adapter during the withdrawal, and a cap is provided that closes entry and exit to this attachment point when the syringe is not in place. The cap preferably attaches to the syringe adapter using a connection that mimics the connection used by the syringe.

The invention relates to an injection device which includes a handle and a guard which together enclose a movable cartridge which can contain liquid material to be injected, and further enclose a movable injector that includes a needle, the needle being attached to a housing where the housing is attached to the cartridge, the device also including a delivery mechanism whereby the needle is moved from a retracted to an extended position, and independently the volume of the chamber may be adjusted to expel the contents thereof through the needle and into a subject in need thereof. The injection device may be communicatively connected to a control unit so as to provide a dermal injection system.

DYNAMIC MIXING AND DELIVERY SYSTEM FOR MIXING A THERAPEUTIC AGENT IN AN INJECTOR OR AUTOINJECTOR

A mixing device configured to hold two containers, each having a separate medicament component disposed therein. A fluidic channel is provided that upon creating fluidic communication with each container once seals about each container are opened. Then a transfer mechanism can transfer the medicament components from one container to the other container until ready to be delivered or transferred through the fluidic channel through a delivery assembly.

WEARABLE AUTOMATIC INJECTION DEVICE FOR CONTROLLED ADMINISTRATION OF THERAPEUTIC AGENTS

Exemplary embodiments provide wearable automatic injection devices for administering a therapeutic agent to a patient's body at fast, controlled rates, for example, in a single fast bolus. Exemplary embodiments also provide methods for assembling wearable automatic injection devices for administering a therapeutic agent to a patient at fast, controlled rates. Exemplary embodiments also provide methods for using wearable automatic injection devices for administering a therapeutic agent to a patient at fast, controlled rates.

Medicament delivery device

The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising, a housing (10, 114) having a proximal and a distal end, a delivery member connected to the housing; a medicament container (84) operably arranged within the housing; a drive mechanism (102, 108) capable of acting on the medicament container (84) for priming and for expelling a dose of medicament. The invention is characterised in that the device further comprises—an activator mechanism configured to interact with the drive mechanism, such that a first interaction between the activator mechanism and the drive mechanism causes the container to move towards the delivery member wherein the container is primed and such that a subsequent second interaction between the activator mechanism and the drive mechanism causes a dose of medicament to be expelled through the delivery member.

Ampule autoinjector systems and methods

An autoinjector is described that includes an outer body, a first trigger, an output needle, and a first compartment. The first compartment is positioned within the outer body and includes (i) a main body, (ii) a first biasing member coupled to the first trigger, and (iii) a protrusion positioned at a distal end of the main body. The autoinjector further includes a second compartment positioned in the outer body and in fluid communication with the first compartment and the output needle. The autoinjector also includes a second biasing member coupled to a second trigger. The first biasing member is configured to, upon application of force to the first trigger, automatically move an ampule in a distal direction relative to the main body to force the ampule against the protrusion, so as to break the ampule and allow a medicament to flow from the ampule to the second compartment.

AUTOINJECTOR FOR ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATIONS

An autoinjector for administering medications. The autoinjector includes an injector unit that includes a cartridge housing, a first carpule to contain a medication for administration and a second carpule to contain a second medication. The carpules are positioned within the interior area of the cartridge housing. The autoinjector further includes an activator unit having an activation housing, a first and second activation engine positioned within an interior area of the activation housing. Each activation engine includes a spring and a piston, such that the spring and piston are co-axial with the carpules. The autoinjector further includes a retainer to retain the springs, a safety disk positioned at a proximal end of the activation housing, and a safety element to engage the safety disk and maintain the activator unit in a storage setting.
