Flush syringe assemblies are described herein. Such flush syringe assembly may include a barrel including a side wall defining a chamber, an open proximal end, a distal end having a distal wall with an elongate tip extending distally therefrom having a passageway therethrough in fluid communication with said chamber. A collar may be mounted on the distal wall of the barrel and surrounding the elongate tip. A disinfectant-loaded swab may be disposed in the collar. Disclosed herein are devices and methods for delivering a predetermined volume of a drug substance or other product including a fluid. An exemplary device may include a body configured to receive a drug substance therein, and a plunger rod disposed at least partially inside the body to distally move a stopper in the body. The device may include a component configured to regulate distal movement of the plunger rod in a priming step and in a subsequent delivery step, so that the device may be accurately primed and may accurately dispense a predetermined volume of a drug substance.

In a needleless syringe according to the present invention, a current is supplied to a solenoid coil to generate a magnetic field so as to move a moving magnetic body and a piston forward, and when the current to the solenoid coil is cut off, an elastic member for the moving magnetic body moves the moving magnetic body backward and an elastic member for the piston moves the piston backward, so that the piston to be injected by pressurizing a drug is configured to reciprocate repeatedly forward and backward and thus, a predetermined drug can be repeatedly injected at high speed. In addition, according to the present invention, time for which the current is applied to the solenoid coil, is adjusted to minimize recoil without adding a recoil offset structure so that the structure is simple and convenience of use can be improved.

The plunger assembly includes a piston and a plunger rod. The plunger rod is removably couplable to the piston at the distal end of the plunger rod and includes a thumb press flange at the proximal end of the plunger rod. The system further includes a stop feature that is removably couplable to the syringe or the plunger assembly. The stop feature is configured to arrest distal advancement of the plunger assembly relative to the syringe when the plunger assembly reaches a predetermined position relative to the syringe. The stop thus ensures that a predetermined amount of fluid remains in the barrel.
