Syringe with selectable metering
A needle syringe has a plunger and a needle for filling and dispensing liquid from the cavity. The cavity has finger clip with movable locking pins. The plunger has at least one set of grooves corresponding to a specific dosage for the needle syringe, the specific dosage of the groove being demarked by a marking ledge that indicates a change to a deeper depth section of the groove. The locking pins are configured to rest in the at least one set of grooves, such that when the plunger is removed, the locking pins pass within a first shallow section of the groove, pass over the ledge, and continue to pass in the deeper depth section of the groove. When the plunger is depressed in a first partial dispensing movement, the locking pins pass in the deeper depth section of the groove until the plunger depression is temporarily locked when the locking pins reach the ledge, where the dose remaining in the cavity is the specific dosage.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH DISENGAGEMENT FEATURE AND METHOD FOR DISENGAGING A PLUNGER FROM A POWER SOURCE
An injection device comprises a housing, a cartridge defining a chamber configured to hold a medicament, a plunger disposed within the chamber, and a plunger actuation assembly configured to drive the plunger. The injection device also comprises a power source configured to drive the plunger actuation assembly such that the plunger forces the medicament from the chamber a first disengagement element translationally fixed relative to the plunger actuation assembly, and a second disengagement element coupled to the plunger actuation assembly and to the power source, where the second disengagement element is translationally fixed relative to the plunger actuation assembly. The first disengagement element is configured to translationally decouple from the plunger actuation assembly when the power source drives the plunger actuation assembly a first distance, and translationally decouple the second disengagement element from the plunger actuation assembly when the power source drives the plunger actuation assembly a second distance.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PRECISION DOSE DELIVERY
Disclosed herein are delivery devices for delivering a volume of a drug product, placebo product, or other product including a fluid. The devices may include a barrel having a longitudinal axis, a proximal end region, and a distal end region. The proximal end region may include an opening, and the barrel may be configured to receive a drug therein. A plunger rod may be disposed at least partially inside the barrel and protruding from the opening. The plunger rod may include a rack having a plurality of teeth. The device may further include a pinion having a plurality of teeth configured to engage with the plurality of teeth of the rack, and rotation of the pinion against the rack may move at least a part of the plunger rod along the longitudinal axis of the barrel.
Multi-functional syringe plunger and method of use
A fat-harvesting syringe having a multi-functional plunger assembly. The plunger assembly comprises an outer plunger rod body, an inner central plunger rod and a piston seal assembly. The outer plunger rod body having a first and a second end. The first end having a central lumen all at its finger grip handle and at the second end having flanges that are expandable. Once the central plunger inner rod is inserted fully into central lumen of plunger rod body, the expandable flanges expands and engages with the piston seal assembly. Also when the inner plunger rod is retracted, the plunger body flanges retract back and disengages from piston seal assembly.
Container Holder Assembly
According to aspects of the present disclosure, a retaining apparatus for use with a medicament delivery device is provided. The medicament delivery device includes a container holder assembly and an actuator assembly. The container holder assembly is configured to receive a container containing a medicament. The container holder assembly is configured to couple to the actuator assembly. The actuator assembly includes a plunger rod for engaging a stopper in the container. The retaining apparatus includes a plunger lock, a retaining member, and a biasing member. The plunger lock is seated within a proximal end of the actuator assembly, and secures the plunger rod. The retaining member is seated within the plunger lock. The biasing member is secured between the proximal end of the actuator assembly and the retaining member. The retaining member is biased in a proximal direction by the biasing member.
Connecting module and syringe having such a connecting module
A connecting module is provided with a first connecting component, which has a first fluid channel and a first contact surface, a second connecting component, which has a second fluid channel and a second contact surface. One of the two contact surfaces is formed as an inner surface and the other of the two contact surfaces is formed as an outer surface which is complementary to the inner surface. The connecting module further includes a receiving sleeve with a first threaded section and a first connecting device for the first connecting component. The first connecting component has a second connecting device, which interacts with the first connecting device in such a way that the first connecting component is detachably connected to the receiving sleeve. The second connecting component has a second threaded section which is complementary to the first threaded section.
THREE-POSITION PLUNGERS, FILM COATED PLUNGERS AND RELATED SYRINGE ASSEMBLIES
A three-position plunger is provided including a sleeve having an opening at a distal end, a pre-load cavity proximal to and in communication with the opening, a first cavity proximal to and in communication with the pre-load cavity, a second cavity proximal to and in communication with the pre-load cavity, and at least one rib. The rib(s) is generally aligned with the first cavity. The plunger further includes an insert configured to be displaced from the pre-load cavity to the first cavity and from the first cavity to the second cavity. The insert is configured to provide support for the compression of the rib(s) when the insert is positioned in the first cavity.
Multi-chamber injection device
A multi-chamber injection device includes multiple syringes. The multiple syringes may be arrayed in a circular, linear, or other format. In some implementations, a needle, port, or similar may be shared by all the syringes in configuration that allows only one syringe to deliver contents at a time while blocking the other syringes from delivering their respective contents. In some implementations, the syringes may be all stored in the same container. One or more of the chambers of a multi-chamber injection device may be preloaded with medication. Different medications may be loaded into different chambers. The medications may be selected to treat the same medical condition.
Medicament training device with plunger limiting mechanism
Embodiments including an injection device having a housing with an outer surface, an inner surface, a proximal end and a distal end, and a defining a chamber extending between the proximal end and the distal end are provided herein. The device may include a plunger having a first end and a second end, the plunger being movable proximally and distally within the chamber of the housing, the plunger comprising a plunger rod extending from the first end to the second end of the plunger; and a plunger limiting mechanism configured to interface with the plunger rod, to limit the proximal movement of the plunger and prevent removal of the plunger from the housing.
Drug Delivery Device with Piston Driver Distal Feature
Drug delivery device adapted to receive a cartridge, comprising drug expelling means with a piston driver comprising a distal end adapted to abut and axially move the piston of a loaded cartridge to thereby expel an amount of drug from the cartridge, and a motor assembly for moving the piston driver. The piston driver distal end comprises flexible centring means adapted to frictionally engage a cartridge inner surface proximally of the piston, thereby centring the cartridge and the piston driver distal end relative to the each other.
