SEQUENCED SYRINGE ASSEMBLY
Syringe assemblies are described herein. A syringe assembly includes an assembly housing, a first syringe, a second syringe, and a connecting gear. The first syringe is disposed within the assembly housing. Each plunger is movable within the respective syringe cavity and defines a respective chamber in the respective syringe cavity, wherein the respective chamber is in fluid communication with the respective syringe port, the respective plunger comprising a respective gear rack extending longitudinally along the respective plunger. The connecting gear is rotatably coupled to the assembly housing. The connecting gear is configured to be in meshed engagement with at least one of the first gear rack and the second gear rack of the syringes.
Syringe assembly with inverse delivery
A reduced profile syringe assembly is provided that includes an overall profile that is substantially similar to a profile of a syringe barrel. The syringe assembly includes a plunger rod that is significantly disposed within the syringe barrel when filled for use, with the plunger rod adapted to be retracted from the syringe barrel during dispensing of contents of the syringe barrel.
Plastic stopper
A stopper includes a main body portion defining an open rearward end configured to receive the plunger rod, an engagement portion provided along an inner circumference of the main body portion configured to engage at least a top portion of the plunger rod, a closed front end forming a flexible roof, and a first perimetrical skirt extending around an outer circumference of the main body portion toward the closed front end of the main body portion. When fluid pressure is increased inside the syringe barrel during an injection, the flexible roof expands in a radial direction toward an inner wall of the syringe barrel, the first perimetrical skirt is forced against the inner wall of the syringe barrel, and an engagement between the plunger rod and the engagement portion forces the main body portion to expand in the radial direction toward the inner wall of the syringe barrel.
WIRE AND PULLEY CLOCK MECHANISM FLOW REGULATOR
An automatic injection device with flow regulation. The automatic injection device has an insertion needle configured to be inserted into a patient and a drug container which contains a pharmaceutical product and includes a plunger. The automatic injection device also has a fluid path which fluidly connects the drug container to the patient via an insertion device, a potential energy source, and a regulator configured to restrict release of potential energy and restrict linear movement of the plunger and pharmaceutical product into the fluid path at a proscribed pace. The regulator includes a clock escapement mechanism and a wire and pulley system including a wire coupled to at least one pulley. The potential energy source may be a spring that surrounds the drug container and may be directly coupled to the plunger and the wire such that movement of the spring and the wire is restricted over time.
Plunger rod comprising at least three annular elements for a prefilled syringe
A prefilled syringe includes a syringe body filled with a medical fluid, which has a nozzle at a front side, the nozzle being closed with a cap, and which is closed at a rear side with a displaceable plunger; and a plunger rod that can be inserted into the syringe body via the rear side. The plunger rod has a connecting portion at a front side, via whi9ch the plunger rod can be connected to the plunger. At least three annular elements, which extend at least in some sections about a longitudinal axis of the rod, are arranged on a rear side of the connecting portion on the plunger rod in such a manner that they are located in the syringe body when the plunger rod is fully connected to the plunger. The three annular elements support a coaxial connection of the rod to the plunger positioned in the syringe.
Bearing for a piston rod body for a drug delivery device, a piston rod arrangement and a piston rod body
The present disclosure concerns a bearing for a piston rod body for a drug delivery device. The bearing has an axis and comprises a first and a second surface which are spaced apart in the direction of the axis and a third surface, wherein the third surface connects the first and the second surface, wherein an opening is provided in each of the first and the third surface, and wherein the opening in the first surface is connected to the opening in the third surface. Further, the present disclosure concerns a piston rod body and a piston rod arrangement comprising said bearing and the piston rod body.
Assisted injection device for injecting a composition contained in a medical container with reduced efforts
The present disclosure relates to an assisted injection device for injecting a composition contained in a medical container. The injection device includes a body adapted to receive a medical container in a fixed position relative to the body. The injection device includes a spring-loaded piston rod translationally movable inside the body between a proximal rest position allowing inserting of the medical container in the body and a distal operative position wherein the piston rod engages a stopper of the medical container and pushes the stopper in the medical container. The injection device includes a blocking system comprising a locking member mounted on the body and configured to engage the piston rod. The piston rod includes a proximal end extending out of the body and configured to be pushed by the user in a distal direction to accelerate the movement of the piston rod to the distal operative position.
Drive apparatus for injection devices
An injection device includes: a housing with a product container in which a stopper with a bearing face can be moved to a stopper end position and which, proximally to the stopper end position, has a minimum product container cross section; a drive configured to move the stopper, which includes a plunger rod with a drive face that contacts the bearing face; a plunger rod guide is arranged outside the product container and guides the plunger rod, with a plunger rod guide cross section adapted to a plunger rod cross section. The product container only incompletely guides movement of the plunger rod and the plunger rod cross section is not prevented from moving in a tilting direction by the minimum product container cross section, and a plunger rod centering aid a distal end of the plunger rod limits the movement of the plunger rod in the tilting direction.
