CATHETER INSTRUMENT
A catheter instrument and method for assembly extends in a proximodistal direction along a center axis (A). The catheter instrument comprises a catheter assembly having a catheter hub with a distal end, comprising a high pressure clip provided with an engagement socket, and a needle shielding device having a proximal end comprising a needle protection clip having a proximal engagement portion. The proximal engagement portion engages the socket when the catheter assembly and the needle shielding device are connected to each other.
Needle guard
A needle set includes a needle guard and a winged needle. The needle guard has upper and lower jaws, each of the upper and lower jaws defining a channel and coming together at a hinge. The upper and lower jaws are separated by slots in sides of the needle guard, which slots divide the sides into upper and lower side walls, respectively. The winged needle can be inserted between the upper and lower jaws, with wings of the winged needle passing through the slots. The hinge has an opening and a tube connected to the winged needle passes through the opening.
Devices for injection and dosing
Skin can be treated by piercing skin with a plurality of needles of an injection device and ejecting a dose of fluid therethrough. The device can include a housing, a plunger disposed in the housing, a cartridge disposed in the housing, and one or more dosing chambers. The plurality of needles can be coupled to the housing and be in fluid communication with the cartridge. Advancement of the plunger can cause a dose of fluid to be ejected from the plurality of needles.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device for injection of a medicament. The medicament delivery device comprising a housing having a distal end opening and a proximal end opening; a needle guard extending from the proximal end opening and moveable relative to the housing from an extended position to a retracted position in which the needle guard is biased towards the extended position. The device further comprises an activation member extending from the distal end opening and movable relative to the housing from an initial position to a final position; final position locking means arranged to restrict movement of the activation member relative to the housing when the activation member is in the final position, and needle guard locking means arranged to interact with the needle guard such that movement of the needle guard from the extended position to the retracted position is restricted when the activation member is in the final position. The present disclosure also relates to a method of assembling a medicament delivery device.
THREE POSITION NEEDLE RETRACTION
In some embodiments a system and method are described for safeguarding a hazard. The hazard, for example a needle point, may be moved between a protected retracted position, an active extended position and/or an intermediate position. Optionally in the retracted position, the hazard may be protected inside a housing. Optionally in the extended position, the hazard may be exposed. Optionally, in the intermediate position the hazard may be partially protected and/or concealed, for example by a shield and/or in an indentation. In some embodiments, compromising a shield causes the hazard to be retracted to the retracted position.
Hard-Packaged Safety Needle Device
A hard-packaged safety needle device comprises a needle hub comprising a distal portion and a proximal portion, a needle cannula extending from the distal portion of the needle hub, and a hard needle enclosure comprising a needle cover, an adapter and a cap. The needle cover is configured to house the needle cannula, and the adapter has a tapered aperture configured to create an interference fit and a sterility barrier with the tapered outer surface of the needle cover. The caps includes a distal opening defining a first cavity, the cap being configured to interdigitate with the adapter by the first cavity of the cap receiving a proximal portion of the adapter.
Syringe Carrier
Described is a syringe carrier comprising a body adapted to receive a barrel of a syringe. The body includes two sections having distal ends with shoulder sections. The shoulder sections are adapted to engage a circumferential gap between the barrel of the syringe and a needle shield covering a needle of the syringe.
Medicament Delivery Device
The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device, comprising an outer body, a receptacle for a medicament, a needle for the administration of the medicament, an injection mechanism with an actuating mechanism for injecting the medicament into the patients body, and a needle guard for the needle. The medicament delivery device further comprising a detecting element for the detection of the orientation of the medicament delivery device, and a locking mechanism releasing the actuating mechanism, if the detecting element is in the at least first position, and locking the actuating mechanism, if the detecting element is in the at least second position, wherein the locking mechanism is controlled and/or actuated by the detecting element.
SAFETY INTRODUCER NEEDLE ASSEMBLY
A safety introducer needle assembly having an introducer needle defining an axial direction, the needle having an outer surface and an inner surface defining a lumen which extends along the length of the needle in the axial direction; the outer surface defined by a wall of the needle forming a needle shaft that extend along the axial direction having a distal end and a proximal end, wherein the proximal end connected to a needle hub and the distal end comprising a sharp bevelled tip wherein the needle has a roughened or echogenic region having echogenic features; and a needle tip protector housed in a safety barrel and slidably arranged on the needle shaft from moving beyond the needle tip and wherein the safety barrel is engageably attached to the needle hub.
Catheter assembly
A catheter assembly including a catheter carried by a catheter adapter, a needle having a sharp distal tip and disposed in the catheter such that in a first needle position, the needle extending beyond the catheter, a septum actuator having openings, the septum actuator disposed in the catheter adapter and configured to pierce a septum, and a spring clip disposed in the septum actuator and engaging the openings of the septum actuator in the first needle position.
