Needles system
A needle system for penetrating to or passing thought an object or an organ comprising a semiconductor die, one or more needles, wherein the needles slide over the plane of the die, one or more actuators that move the needles relative to the die plane, and one or more actuator drivers controlled by a controller wherein the controller instruct the needle to penetrate into or to pass through and/or retract from the object or organ. The needle system is used for drug delivery or blood extraction or blood analysis or glucose measurements or blood measurements or nerve system stimulus treatment or hair removal or skin lesions removal.
Pressure-sensing guide wire with sliding pressure sensor
An intravascular sensor assembly including a flexible elongate member having a longitudinal axis (LA) is provided. The sensor assembly includes a first engagement feature proximal to a distal end of the flexible elongate member; a core member disposed inside a lumen of the flexible elongate member, the core member configured to translate within the flexible elongate member along the LA proximal to the first engagement feature; and a component holding a sensor circuit, the component fixedly secured to a distal end of the core member such that the mounting structure translates along the LA of the flexible elongate member with the core member. A system and a method for performing measurements using a sensor as above are also provided.

Active lubrication of penetrating devices
Penetrating systems and devices are described herein which include a penetrating portion having a fluid reservoir portion formed from two concentric hollow cylinders joined at one end with a substantially ring-shaped first end piece and associated at the other end with a substantially ring-shaped second end piece, the outer hollow cylinder including a plurality of pores in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir portion, the inner hollow cylinder defining a lumen in fluid communication with a second fluid reservoir portion, and the substantially ring-shaped second end piece forming a deformable barrier.
Brachytherapy seed insertion and fixation system
Brachytherapy seed insertion and fixation devices and systems to decrease implanted brachytherapy seed migration within tissue and minimize trauma. Component(s) with cavity or opening features are attached to a brachytherapy seed or series of seeds. The cavity or opening features interact with the patient's tissue to fix the seed and component assembly in place and inhibit movement/migration of the seed(s). The cavity or opening features may optionally be filled with an adhesive or other beneficial material. The seed(s) or seed and component assembly may be inserted using a delivery device having a needle through which the seed(s) or assembly are implanted and a stylet extending through the needle to cut tissue and facilitate insertion of the needle. The stylet has a reduced diameter cutting tip to cut a narrow hole in tissue, and a tapered region that stretches the narrow hole to accommodate insertion of the larger diameter needle.
Medicated module with automatic reservoir engagement
A medicated module (4) for an injection system to co-deliver at least two medicaments is disclosed where a primary delivery device containing a primary medicament accepts a medicated module (4) containing a single dose of a secondary medicament and where both medicaments are delivered through a hollow needle (3). The medicated module (4) does not require the user to manually engage a reservoir (22) containing the secondary medicament. Instead, a biasing member (48) automatically activates the reservoir (22) when the needle guard (42) is retracted. The needle guard (42) prevents accidental needle sticks before and after an injection, and locks after dose delivery.
Microneedle injection and infusion apparatus and method of using same
A microneedle injection and infusion apparatus, and a method of using same. The apparatus (100) can include a housing (102), a microneedle array holder (106) for holding a microneedle array (107), and a shuttle (125) that holds a cartridge (e.g., that contains an active agent). The microneedle array holder can be movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The shuttle can be movable between a first position in which the cartridge is not in fluid communication with a fluid path and a second position in which the cartridge is in fluid communication with the fluid path. The apparatus can further include an actuator (104) movable between a first position and a second position. The method can include moving the actuator to its second position to allow the shuttle to move toward its second position, wherein movement of the shuttle toward its second position allows the microneedle array holder to move to its extended position.
DEVICES FOR INJECTING COLLAGENASE DISRUPTING AGENT(S) AND METHODS OF TREATING CONDITIONS WITH THICKENED FASCIA SUCH AS DUPUYTREN'S CONTRACTURE AND LEDDERHOSE'S DISEASE
Various embodiments of methods and devices are provided for executing a plurality of injections of a therapeutic agent into an anatomy of a patient diagnosed with Dupuytren's Contracture or Ledderhose's Disease. The plurality of injections are provided by a first therapeutic reservoir comprising a plunger configured to pressure a therapeutic agent held therein into a second, intermediate reservoir or two or more flow channels, through two or more third reservoirs, wherein each of the third reservoirs is in fluid communication with an injection needle. A preferred embodiment comprises a plurality of injection devices comprising injection needles, wherein the injection needles are arranged in a linear array.
TROCAR ASSEMBLIES
A trocar assembly wherein a trocar with an elongated polygonal tube can receive either an obturator or a medical instrument of a dissimilar cross-sectional shape with the medical instrument of the different cross sectional shape maintable in a central condition therein to inhibit pressure losses to lateral flow to thereby permit use of a cannula having a smaller cross sectional area than a cylindrical cannula as well as inhibit trauma to an entry site around the cannula.
Retrobulbar syringe and methods of use
A device useful for making retrobulbar injections includes an inner syringe contained within an outer syringe. A spring retained within the outer syringe biases the inner syringe proximally, which a catch mechanism on the two syringes prevents the inner syringe from moving out of the outer syringe. A distal needle on the inner syringe is movable within a distal sheath of the outer syringe, and can be extended beyond the distal end of the sheath to permit the device to piece more resilient tissues, and can be withdrawn by action of the spring within the sheath to protect more delicate tissues from the needle.
