Multi-barrel syringe injection system
An injection device for injecting a medicant into a plurality of tissue sites in a patient for a selected treatment is constructed and arranged such that the number of tissue sites is the total number for the selected treatment thereby requiring a single positioning step. The injection device includes a body having a syringe and a control linkage, the syringe including a plurality of barrels, and a cooperating plunger array including a plurality of plungers. Each barrel receives a corresponding plunger. The injection device further includes a plurality of injection needles connected to the syringe wherein one injection needle is connected to each barrel, a multi-lumen tip, a shaft connected to the multi-lumen tip and extending between said multi-lumen tip and said body. The control linkage is connected to each needle so as to move each needle between a deployed injection position and a retracted position.
Disposable needle cartridges having absorbing contaminant barriers
Disclosed herein are unique needle cartridges for use with transdermal microneedling devices, and prevent backflow of liquid(s) from the skin of a patient. One embodiment may comprise a base portion and a sleeve coupled to the base portion. The needle cartridge may also comprise a needle unit disposed at the distal end of the base portion and within the sleeve, wherein the needle unit comprises at least one needle ending therefrom. Also, the needle cartridge comprises a drive shaft disposed through the base portion and coupled to the needle unit, and configured to be driven reciprocally along a longitudinal axis of the base portion and thereby move the needle unit reciprocally such that the needles of the needle unit extend beyond and retract within the sleeve. Such needle cartridges would include an absorbing barrier disposed within the base portion to prevent the backflow of liquid(s) from the needle unit by absorbing such liquid(s).
A Needle Arrangement
The present invention relates to a needle arrangement for an injection device. The needle arrangement is made up from needle cannula which is mounted such that a distal part having a distal tip extends in a distal direction. Further, a telescopically movable shield carrying a cleaning chamber surrounds at least the tip of the needle cannula between injections such that the tip of the needle cannula is maintained inside the cleaning chamber between subsequent injections. The cleaning chamber is at least distally provided with a pierceable septum through which the needle cannula penetrates during injections. For guiding the needle cannula during injections a telescopically movable tube is provided. During injections the distal end of the telescopically movable tube at least partly penetrates the distal septum.
NEEDLE SYSTEM
A needle system for penetrating to or passing thought an object or an organ comprising a semiconductor die, one or more needles, wherein the needles move relative to the die using one or more actuators. The actuators are controlled by a controller wherein the controller instruct the needle to penetrate into or to pass through and/or retract from the object or organ. The needle system is used among other treatments for drug delivery, blood extraction, blood analysis, glucose measurements, blood measurements, nerve system stimulus treatment, hair removal, skin lesions coloring or removal or tattoo painting or removal.
MEDICAL DEVICE
A medical device including: a needle that has an inner hole formed so as to penetrate the needle from a distal end to a base end in the longitudinal direction; a medical-fluid supplying section that is connected to the base end of the needle and that supplies, to the inner hole, a medical fluid that hardens when warmed or cooled; a temperature changing member that is provided at the distal end of the needle or in the vicinity of the distal end thereof and that can be warmed or cooled when supplied with energy; and a temperature adjusting section that warms or cools the temperature changing member by supplying the energy to the temperature changing member.
Dedicated needle assembly
A dedicated needle assembly (300) that can be attached only to a dedicated drug delivery device (400) is disclosed. The dedicated needle assembly (300) comprises a connecting body (320) extending from a distal end to a proximal end. A dedicated mechanical coupling (310) is configured at the proximal end of the connecting body (320). The dedicated mechanical coupling (310) forms a releasable connection to a distal end of the dedicated drug delivery device (400). The dedicated needle assembly (300) may comprise a medicated module or, alternatively, a non-medicated module. In one arrangement, the dedicated mechanical coupling (310) is integral with the dedicated needle assembly (300).
INTEGRATED NEEDLE AND CANNULA FOR PLASTIC SURGERY
An integrated needle and cannula assembly for plastic surgery including a syringe connected to a blunt-tipped cannula where the blunt-tipped cannula is inserted into the hollow annular space of a hypodermic needle. In operation, the medical practitioner penetrates into the patient's skin using the hypodermic needle and then slides the blunt-tipped cannula through the annular space of the needle. A transporter assembly can be interposed between the syringe and the overlapping needle/cannula. The transporter assembly may include a retractable inner needle tube attached to the hypodermic needle and an external transporter housing which connects the syringe to the cannula through a cannula connector. Once the blunt tipped cannula is under the patient's skin, the needle is preferably withdrawn from the patient's skin to allow sub-dermal substances to be injected using only the blunt-tipped cannula. Withdrawal of the needle can be assisted with either a pull spring or push spring. In an alternative embodiment, a sharp-tipped trocar inside a cannula is used to penetrate the patient's skin. In a further alternative embodiment, a barbed surgical thread may be attached to said cannula to perform thread-lift procedures.
INFUSION SYSTEM AND METHODS
An infusion cartridge for use with an ambulatory infusion system can be provided with a preattached infusion set to eliminate potential leakage, potential snagging and other inconveniences from tubing connectors. The infusion cartridge can include a rigid housing, a collapsible fluid reservoir within the housing and a dispense mechanism for drawing fluid from the reservoir and sending it out an outlet port. A length of tubing can be fixedly attached to the outlet port in fluid communication with the outlet port. The length of tubing can extend as a unitary construct from the outlet port to a connector that connects to a cannula for delivering fluid from the reservoir to a user.
Syringe assembly
Disclosed here are syringe assemblies that include a modified syringe tip to penetrate a subject to obtain or administer a substance. The syringe system consists of a syringe body with or without a modified syringe tip with a standard or modified plunger. The modified syringe tip or modified plunger protrusion can penetrate a subject, such as the skin of a patient or a membrane on sealing a container containing medicine, or a seal of an empty vial.
Multi-lumen syringes for intraocular injections
There is provided herein a multi-lumen syringe for intraocular injection, including a first lumen, a second lumen, one or more needles fluidly connected to the lumens, and a needle sheath disposed about the one or more needles; wherein the needle sheath includes a plurality of n proximity/contact/pressure actuators on a distal rim of the needle sheath; wherein the syringe is switchable between at least two configurations: a first configuration in which at least one of the actuators is not actuated and each tip of the one or more needles is proximally positioned, and secured, relative to the distal rim; and a second configuration in which the n actuators are actuated, and the one or more needles are allowed to distally extend beyond the distal rim.
