An assembly including a needle (3) for administering a fluid is presented. The needle (3) comprises a hollow needle body (4) to guide the fluid. The needle body (4) is furthermore formed such that an inlet section (20) of the needle body (4) defines a first flow direction for the fluid and an outlet section (21) of the needle body (4) defines a second flow direction for the fluid, wherein the first flow direction is inclined with respect to the second flow direction.

A drug delivery device may include sterile needle covered by removable a sterility preserving protector. The device optionally includes skin contact surface and a needle protector for preventing a stick hazard upon removal of the skin contact surface from an injection site or angle without Removing completely. Optionally, the needle protector may include a shield that interferes with replacement of the needle protector. In some embodiments, the needle cover may interfere with deployment of the needle protector.

A system for medicament delivery includes a cartridge containing a medicament and in fluid communication with a needle, where the needle is enveloped by a needle cap, a housing for containing the cartridge and having an orifice for allowing access to said needle cap and its associated needle, and a needle cap remover device.

A device for drug injection has a cartridge, which in turn has a reservoir and a fluid path. The fluid path carries a fluid for injection from the reservoir to the place where the patient is to be injected. The fluid path comprises a needle, and the fluid path is kept sterile. Disclosed herein is a pharmaceutical delivery device comprising a cartridge containing a fluid, the cartridge including a light pipe section which acts as a light pipe having an input location; and a light diffusing section optically coupled to the light pipe; and a light source optically coupled to the cartridge at the input location to the light pipe, such that at least some light from the light source entering at the input location is diffused at the light diffusing section.
