The support (40) is rotated relative to the housing (30) to index the pen needles to a position where the pen needle can be accessed and coupled to a delivery device (10). The used pen needle (18) is returned to the well (42) in the support and the support rotated toward the ejector (80) where the used pen needle is ejected to a compartment (50) in the housing for disposal. A cover (60) on the housing includes at least one opening (65) for accessing the pen needle when the support is rotated to position a pen needle relative to the opening in the cover.
Cartridge carrier assembly
A cartridge carrier assembly for a medicament delivery device comprises a cartridge carrier adapted to receive a cartridge defining a cavity containing a dose of a medicament, a needle hub being part of the cartridge carrier or coupled to the cartridge carrier such that the needle hub is fixed relative to the cartridge carrier, the needle hub adapted to receive a distal end or part of the cartridge, an injection needle having a tipped proximal needle section adapted to pierce a sealing element distally arranged on the cartridge, and a removable needle cap attachable to a distal end of the cartridge carrier. The needle hub comprises a cartridge retention feature adapted to abut the cartridge or a part thereof to limit axial movement of the cartridge in the distal direction such that the proximal needle section is spaced from the sealing element.
METHOD FOR CONNECTING A FIRST COMPONENT TO A SECOND COMPONENT
The invention relates to a method for connecting a first component, in particular a lancing means, to a second component, in particular a syringe body, in order to produce a product for medical or cosmetic purposes, by means of adhesion, having the following steps: (a) providing the first and the second component; (b) tempering at least one first contact surface of the first component and/or at least one second contact surface of the second component to a temperature T1; and (c) applying an adhesive to at least one portion of the first contact surface and/or to at least one portion of the second contact surface, wherein the adhesive is at a temperature T2, wherein temperatures T1 and T2 differ only by a tolerance deviation, wherein the tolerance deviation is at most 10 C.
PEN NEEDLE ATTACHMENT MECHANISMS
User-friendly attachment mechanisms for pen needles provide improved handling and ease of use, including locking installation and removal features and sensory feedback when a needle-bearing hub is seated on a pen. Embodiments include a needle-bearing hub having a circumferentially oriented flexible tab that engages a radially inward rib on an outer cover to assist in attaching a pen device to the pen needle.
DISPOSITIF D'INJECTION MANUELLE
Disclosed is a device for filling the injection device, the injection device of the type including a cylindrical body enclosing a reservoir containing a product to be injected, the reservoir opening at one end on an injection needle and being closed at its other end by a plunger mounted so as to be movable in translation in the reservoir under the control of a plunger rod provided with a control member, the device including a unit for controlling the quantity of product to be delivered. The control unit is arranged on the body in an area located outside an area where the body is intended to be fully gripped by the hand. Also disclosed is a device for filling the injection device.
CANNULA FIXATION DEVICE
An embodiment in accordance with the present invention is directed to a device for fixation, stabilization, and securement of an intravascular cannula to tissue. The fixation device affixes relative to the cannula and cannulated tissue, allowing the needle to be inserted to a shallow depth and then rapidly secured with one motion, using just one hand. The device works to secure cannulae not only in small vessels but also in situations non-permissive to current state-of-the-art cannulassuch as on wet, adhesive-incompatible surfaces, in intra-operative applications, or when hands-free securement is required. The device can also be utilized to access the umbilical arteries and vein for purposes of placental perfusion for cord blood collection or to facilitate and extend the duration of conventional cord blood collection.
Follicular aspiration needle
The invention refers to a needle for follicular aspiration, having a base with a through-hole, inside of which a needle cannula is coupled, the needle cannula having a front aspiration end which protrudes from a front end of the base, and a rear end which freely protrudes from the rear end of the base, the through-hole of the base having a frustro- conical segment tapering from the rear end towards the front end of the base, forming a gap between the inner surface of the base and the outer surface of the needle cannula for coupling a biological sample collecting line.
Reconstitution device with tip cap
A transfer member (128) comprising a housing (24) having a top, a side wall (26), an open bottom, the open bottom permitting insertion of a vial (12) within the housing, a piercing member (34) mounted within the housing (24), the piercing member (34) having a piercing tip (36) located at a bottom end thereof, the piercing member having an interior passageway formed therein, a connector (30) located on an exterior side of the top, a moveable member (40) mounted within the housing (24), the moveable member (40) being moveable from a first position wherein the moveable member (40) prevents access to the piercing tip (36) to a second position permitting access to the piercing tip when the vial is inserted in the housing, a transfer member (128), the transfer member (128) having first and second transfer member ends (131, 133) wherein the moveable member (40) and the housing (24) cause the moveable member (40) to rotate when the moveable member (40) moves upwardly upon insertion of the vial (12), the moveable member returning to a third locked position upon removal of the vial, the third locked position being such that a further vial cannot be inserted into the housing, the first transfer member end (131) being connectable to the second adaptor end (123), the second transfer member end (133) being arranged to receive a neck of a vial (130).
