A needle tip assembly for a pre-loaded syringe or a pen needle injection device, wherein the needle tip assembly comprises a needle mounted to a needle support. A body is sized and configured to receive therein the needle support and the needle. The body comprises a front portion, a rear portion, and an overall axial length that is greater than an axial length of the needle. Prior to the needle tip assembly being in an installed condition on the pre-loaded syringe or the pen needle injection device, each of the front portion covers a first puncturing end of the needle and the rear portion covers a second puncturing end of the needle. Prior to removal from the pre-loaded syringe or the pen needle injection device, the body is at least axially movably relative to the needle support to a position the front portion covers the first puncturing end.

A safety syringe structure includes a combined structure of a syringe barrel, a needle retreater, a needle, and a plunger. The needle retreater and the plunger are slidably received in the syringe barrel. The needle retreater is arranged adjacent to the front end of the syringe barrel. The needle is coupled to the needle retreater. The plunger has an end extended to form a sharp tip and is provided with a plug facing the needle retreater. The sharp tip extends outside the plug in a direction toward the needle retreater. The sharp tip is movable with the plunger toward the front end of the syringe barrel to pierce into and couple with the through hole of the needle retreater; and the sharp tip is movable with the plunger toward the rear end of the syringe barrel to drive, through the needle retreater, the needle into the channel.

The disclosure relates to an adapter for attaching a needle assembly to a cartridge holder. The adapter comprises at least one longitudinal arm adapted to engage a respective longitudinal slot in the cartridge holder, such that the adapter is slidable relative to the cartridge holder. The at least one arm has an external thread segment adapted to engage an internal thread of a needle hub of a needle assembly. The at least one arm is adapted to allow for rotationless disengaging the thread segment from the internal thread.

An apparatus includes a housing coupled to a medicament container, which is coupled to a needle. An injection assembly is disposed within the housing and includes an energy storage member and an actuation rod. A distal end portion of the actuation rod is disposed within the medicament container. The energy storage member can produce a force on a proximal end portion of the actuation rod sufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container. This can convey at least a portion of a substance from the medicament container via the needle when a distal tip of the needle is disposed within a first region of a target location. The force is insufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container when the distal tip of the needle is disposed within a second region of the target location.

The invention relates to a reusable syringe with a syringe body for receiving an ampoule. At the front end of the syringe body there is an opening which defines an axis along which a needle can be inserted. A plurality of holding segments are arranged around this axis and engage behind a needle carrier in the longitudinal direction. According to the invention, a holding segment designed as a thread part is movable in the radial direction. The invention further relates to a system composed of a reusable syringe, a needle carrier, and a container for used needles. Moreover, the invention includes an associated method for connecting and releasing a needle of a reusable syringe. The movable holding segment facilitates the release of the threaded connection of the needle carrier from the syringe body and makes the reusable syringe safer to use.

An attachment for a syringe or carpule includes a main body that encloses an interior space, into which a protrusion of the syringe or carpule can be inserted. The main body has a jacket surrounding the interior space, and includes an inner body connected to the jacket and arranged coaxially thereto. The inner body has an inner wall that, in the attached state of the attachment, contacts an outer surface of the protrusion or of the syringe or carpule by means of an interior surface facing the interior space. The inner wall of the inner body is connected to the jacket of the attachment by a number of webs. At least one web encloses an angle together with an imaginary radially extending line, the angle being greater than 0? and acute.

The present invention inter alia relates to an apparatus and a method. The apparatus comprises a body part and a cover part, wherein the body part and the cover part are configured to at least partially form a fluid channel between a surface of the body part and a surface of the cover part. The surfaces of the body part and the cover part may be facing surfaces. The method comprises manufacturing the apparatus according to the present invention.

An injector apparatus is disclosed for use with a container of therapeutic material to deliver a metered dose of therapeutic material therefrom. The apparatus includes a first body portion arranged to be fixed relative to the container and defining a first conduit portion for the delivery of the therapeutic material from the container and a second body slidably connected to the first body and defining a second conduit portion, in fluid communication with the first conduit portion. Relative sliding motion between the first body and second body results in the displacement of one of the conduit portions into the other conduit portion such that the combined volume of the conduit may be decreased.
