Apparatus and methods for ocular injection
An apparatus includes a housing coupled to a medicament container, which is coupled to a needle. An injection assembly is disposed within the housing and includes an energy storage member and an actuation rod. A distal end portion of the actuation rod is disposed within the medicament container. The energy storage member can produce a force on a proximal end portion of the actuation rod sufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container. This can convey at least a portion of a substance from the medicament container via the needle when a distal tip of the needle is disposed within a first region of a target location. The force is insufficient to move the distal end portion of the actuation rod within the medicament container when the distal tip of the needle is disposed within a second region of the target location.
NEEDLE CARTRIDGE FOR DRUG INJECTION AND DRUG INJECTION DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A needle cartridge for drug injection and a drug injecting device including the same are provided. The needle cartridge includes a needle, a handpiece body including a syringe formed on an upper portion, and a cartridge coupling unit and a needle coupling unit formed on a front, a syringe pressing unit including a power source, a shaft connected to the power source and rotated, and a pusher which is coupled to the shaft, is inserted into a moving groove formed in the upper portion of the handpiece body, and is moved to push a plunger of the syringe, a needle driving unit mounted inside the handpiece body and reciprocating the needle in forward and backward directions, and a position control unit that moves a position of the needle driving unit within the handpiece body to adjust a length of a needle drawn out of the needle cartridge.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE
One embodiment is directed to a system for injecting, comprising a syringe body defining an interior medicine chamber; a stopper member configured to be inserted into the interior medicine chamber to contain medicine within the medicine chamber; a plunger member configured to be manually manipulated to insert the stopper member relative to the syringe body; and a needle having proximal and distal ends, the proximal end comprising an anchoring geometry configured to be at least partially inserted into the stopper member such that upon retraction of the stopper member, the needle is pulled proximally along with the stopper to be at least partially contained within the interior medicine chamber.
Adaptor for mounting onto a medical container, a medical container comprising said adaptor, and a drug delivery device comprising said medical container
The adaptor includes a tubular wall having a proximal part configured to be secured onto a distal tip of a medical container and a distal part configured to receive said connector. The adaptor further includes an opening extending through said tubular wall, and an inner thread configured to cooperate with a connection element of the connector in order to secure the connector to the adaptor. The inner thread is configured to guide the connection element into said opening. The opening is positioned relative to the inner thread so as to make the connection element be visible to an end user when the connection between the adaptor and the connector is completed.
SYRINGE BARREL, SYRINGE, DRUG PREPARATION SET, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SYRINGE BARREL
A syringe barrel includes a connection blocking member that blocks the connection of another medical tool to a tip portion and/or a collar portion. An inner surface of the collar portion including a barrel-side threaded portion and an outer surface of a cylindrical main body portion including a blocking member-side threaded portion include a rotation restricting engagement portion that is partially engaged when the barrel-side threaded portion and the blocking member-side threaded portion are screwed together and restricts rotation of the connection blocking member in the collar portion in the screwing release direction.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR A SYRINGE
A safety device for a syringe including a connector which can be coupled to a syringe, a main body provided with a cavity and which can be coupled to the connector so as to extend above it and a needle body for supporting and housing a needle or cannula, the needle body longitudinally extending in the connector and in the main body. The device further includes a push element which can be coupled to a distal end of the needle body and movable inside the connector by action of an axial thrust of a plunger of the syringe, and a needle support which can be coupled to the needle body and is operable by the push element between a locked position of the needle body, wherein the needle support is interposed between the connector and the needle body, and an unlocked position of the needle body.
Syringe set and syringe having a removable blocking member
A syringe set includes a first syringe having a first connection port and a drug container having a second connection port. The first connection port includes an injection needle attachment structure to which an injection needle is attachable, and a blocking member that is disposed in the injection needle attachment structure and blocks attachment of the injection needle. When the second connection port is connected to the first connection port, the blocking member is connected to the second connection port side, and when the second connection port is detached, the blocking member is detached from the first connection port so as to allow the injection needle to be attached to the first connection port.
A sub-assembly of a medicament delivery device
The present disclosure provides a sub-assembly of a medicament delivery device, the sub-assembly including a housing extending along a longitudinal axis between a distal end of the housing and a proximal end of the housing. The housing is configured to accommodate a first medicament container with a first dimension and a first volume. The sub-assembly further includes an adapter comprising an adapter body extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis from a distal end of the adapter to a proximal end of the adapter. The adapter body is arranged within the housing, and the adapter body is configured to accommodate a second medicament container dimensioned differently from the first dimension and capable of containing no more than the first volume of a medicament. The adapter body is configured to operably retain the second medicament container within the housing so that the second medicament container is radially immovable within the housing.
