PRESSURE TRANSDUCER FOR INJECTIONS
The present invention relates generally to methods and systems for ensuring the injection pressure of glue or filler (or other material) for functional and/or cosmetic procedures does not result in retrograde embolus of the injected substance causing functional complication. It does so by indicating the injection pressure, which can be compared vs. the patient's own diastolic blood pressure—by never allowing injection pressure to exceed the diastolic pressure, the occurrence of such embolus into an artery traveling retrograde should be minimized or completely negated. The mechanism of detection of diastolic blood pressure can either be remembered by the user and the injection pressure visually confirmed to remain below this diastolic blood pressure when injecting, or this system may be automated, to ensure that the diastolic blood pressure in a feed-forward mechanism regulates the injection flow pressure when the comparable pressure is neared or reached.
Peelable Cathlock
A peelable cathlock device is configured to allow a catheter or a port to be able to be replaced independently of each other. The peelable cathlock includes a body defining a cylindrical shape and extending from a first end to a second end. The body defines a lumen providing fluid communication between the first end, which is configured to attach to the proximal end of a catheter, and the second end configured to attach to a port. The peelable cathlock includes a tear line extending along a portion of the body are configured to allow the body to separate along the tear line when a force is applied.
PEN NEEDLE APPARATUS
A pen needle is disclosed for coupling to a delivery device and piercing a septum on the delivery device. The pen needle includes a collar having a side wall, an open proximal end, and a distal end having a coupling member, a needle hub rotatable independently of the collar, where the proximal end of the needle hub has a coupling member coupled to the distal end of the collar. The collar rotates independently from the needle hub so that the collar screws onto the threaded end of the delivery device while the needle hub does not rotate and the needles advance to pierce a septum of the delivery device without rotating the hub and the needles.
Displacement device, testing device and method for leakage testing of a connection of a tip cap with a syringe
The present invention relates to a displacement device, DD, for providing a displacement of a syringe closure system for a syringe relative to the syringe, a testing device, TD, and a method for leakage testing of a connection of a syringe closure system for a syringe with the syringe.
INJECTOR NEEDLE CAP AND/OR LINER REMOVER
A system for medicament delivery includes a cartridge containing a medicament and in fluid communication with a needle, where the needle is enveloped by a needle cap, a housing for containing the cartridge and having an orifice for allowing access to said needle cap and its associated needle, and a needle cap remover device.
Adaptor for a drug delivery device and drug delivery device
The present invention relates to adaptor (30) for a drug delivery device having a reservoir (12) and a longitudinal tip (20), the adaptor (30) comprising a distal part defining a connecting ring (31) intended to receive a connector, and a proximal part defining a mounting ring (33) having an inner surface (34), the mounting ring (33) being shaped and configured such that, when the adaptor (30) is mounted around the longitudinal tip (20) of the drug delivery device, at least one annular space (38) is created between said inner surface (34) of the mounting ring (33) and said outer surface (20a) of the longitudinal tip (20), said at least one annular space (38) being able to accommodate an adhesive layer (40) in order to bond said adaptor (30) to said longitudinal tip. The invention further relates to a drug delivery device comprising such an adaptor.
Syringe with high safety in use
A syringe with high safety in use having a syringe body adapted to accommodate slidingly a plunger. The syringe body has a protruding end that is adapted to allow the mating of a base end of a needle. The syringe further includes elements for removing the needle and/or a cap interposed between the syringe body and the base end of the needle. The needle removal elements are adapted to be moved in a rotary direction for removal of the needle and/or the cap.
DEVICE FOR THE NEEDLE TUBE OF A SYRINGE
A device for the needle tube of a syringe includes a housing which can pivot on a carrier element for the needle tube and which has an open housing side in the pivoting plane of the housing such that the needle tube can be swung into the housing in order to be held there after being used for injection. The arrangement of the rear free end of the needle tube in the carrier element enables controlled piercing, of the all of a container that is replaceable in the carrier element.
HYPODERMIC INTERFACE ASSEMBLY
A hypodermic interface assembly includes a hub, a cannula carrier connected to the hub, and a cannula connected to the cannula carrier. The cannula carrier includes an outer side surface including a first outer side surface portion, a second outer side surface portion, and a third outer side surface portion. The cannula extends through a passage formed by the cannula carrier.
Syringes, kits, and methods for intracutaneous and/or subcutaneous injection of pastes
This disclosure includes syringes, kits containing the same, and related methods. Some syringes are pre-loaded with paste and have a syringe body defining a reservoir having an internal first transverse dimension, a paste disposed within the reservoir, the paste having a solids concentration of greater than 50 mg/mL, a needle defining a lumen having an internal second transverse dimension that is smaller than the first transverse dimension, the needle configured to be in fluid communication with the reservoir to allow intracutaneous delivery of the paste, and a plunger and/or piston disposed within the reservoir and configured to be moved to dispense paste from the reservoir through the lumen. Some syringes include a fitting (e.g. Luer fitting) disposed on the syringe body and in fluid communication with the reservoir and a sealing cap disposed on the Luer fitting to seal the reservoir.
