An apparatus for injecting a fluid includes: an injector including a cylindrical container, a coupling portion, and a peripheral section; a needle assembly including a needle and a hub defining a contact area, the coupling portion configured to be coupled with the hub; and a needle retention device including a needle-retainer portion having a finger configured to radially extend over at least a part of the contact area of the hub, a container-contact portion defining a first opening configured to be attached in a form-fitting way onto the peripheral section of the container. When the apparatus is in its operational state, the hub of the needle assembly is coupled to the coupling portion, the container-contact portion is attached to the container, and the finger of the needle-retainer portion extends over the contact area of the hub when the needle retention device is in its retaining position.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY SYRINGE

A syringe assembly includes a syringe body, needle assembly, retaining clip, gasket, needle latch, and needle hub. The syringe body has a syringe interior, longitudinal axis, proximal and distal ends, and needle attachment interface disposed at the distal end thereof. The gasket is configured to be compressed to provide a liquid-tight seal around an outer diameter of the needle assembly and the distal end of the syringe body. The needle latch assembly includes first and second latching tabs configured to retain the needle assembly in a close state and to be plastically deformed to an open state to release the needle assembly, and a gasket backstop configured to provide a flat surface for compression of the gasket, where the first and second latching tabs are spaced apart from the gasket such that neither of the first and second latching tabs contact the gasket during compression of the gasket.

DRUG CONTAINER

The present invention relates to an assembly comprising an injection device comprising a container for a product, wherein the container includes a distal tip encompassing a channel providing a passageway for transferring the product, and an adaptor mounted onto the distal tip. The assembly further includes a heat-shrinkable film covering at least part of the container and at least part of the adaptor, wherein the heat-shrinkable film maintains the adaptor blocked in rotation and in translation relative to the container when the heat-shrinkable film is in heat-shrunk condition.

Rigid sensor stopper for use in drug delivery devices

The present disclosure relates to a rigid sensor stopper adapted for use in a drug delivery device. In one implementation, a rigid sensor stopper may include a transducer, a power source, a rigid molding or casing, and at least one elastomeric seal. The molding may be formed from overmolding or insert molding, and the casing may be formed from injection molding, machining, or forged casing. The at least one elastomeric seal may include at least two o-rings.
