E-VAPING DEVICE WITH FIRST-TYPE CONSUMABLE AND SECOND-TYPE CONSUMABLE
The e-vaping device includes a first housing, a chamber defined within the first housing, a first structure and a second structure that interface with the chamber, the first structure is configured to accept at least one first-type consumable within the chamber and the second structure is configured to receive at least one second-type consumable within the chamber.
AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM INCLUDING A HEATED GEL CONTAINER
An aerosol-generating system may include an electrical power supply, an electrical heater connected to the electrical power supply, and a substrate container. The substrate container may define a blind cavity containing an aerosol-forming substrate in the form of a gel that is a solid at room temperature. The electrical heater is external to the substrate container and configured to heat the substrate container to generate a vapor without contacting the aerosol-forming substrate. As result, the possibility of unwanted materials building up on the electrical heater can be reduced, thereby providing a more reliable and consistent performance.
THERMAL MODULATION OF AN INHALABLE MEDICAMENT
A thermally modulating inhalable medicament delivery device may deliver an inhalable medicament as an aerosol, vapor, or partial aerosol and partial vapor mixture. The inhalable medicament may be delivered to a target in a subject. Described herein are devices, systems, and methods for delivering an inhalable medicament to a subject.
Detachable container for aerosol delivery having pierceable membrane
A cartridge coupled or coupleable with a control body to form an aerosol delivery device is provided that includes a container of aerosol precursor composition and an atomizer enclosing a reservoir configured to receive and carry aerosol precursor composition. The container and the atomizer are removably coupleable with one another, and include respectively a septum and a connector including a cannula that are engaged when the container and the atomizer are coupled to enable passage of aerosol precursor composition from the container to the reservoir. The atomizer further includes a heating element controllable to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition in the reservoir.
Substance delivery module
A substance delivery module (4) and apparatus (2) for delivering a substance in aerosol form are disclosed. The substance delivery module (4) comprises a substance container (90), a piston (62) and an actuator (100) configured to engage the substance container (90) and urge the substance container (90) onto the piston (62), so dispensing the substance into the through passage (102) of the piston. The actuator (100) and substance container (90) are mounted in the substance delivery module (4) for relative motion, such relative motion bringing the actuator (100) into engagement with the substance container (90). The substance delivery module (4) may be assembled with an aerosol generator (10) and an aerosol delivery conduit (14) to form an apparatus (2) for delivering a substance in aerosol form. The apparatus (2) may further comprise a control module (6).
INTRANASAL DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND PROCESS
Embodiments relate to an intranasal drug delivery device, system, and process. The drug delivery device can have a compliant/flexible soft nib. The drug delivery device can have an actuator and shot chamber. The drug delivery device can have a non-air interface mechanically pressurized fluid reservoir. The drug delivery device can have a facial or device recognition application to prevent intentional or unintentional misuse.
Vaporisable Material Plug And Capsule
A plug of vaporisable material for a vapour generating device which generates a vapour by heating at least the base of the plug includes vaporisable material shaped such that it defines a cavity within the vaporisable material, wherein the cavity is frusto-conical in shape, with the apex adjacent to the base of the plug.
Cartridge for substance delivery module
A substance delivery module and apparatus for delivering substance in aerosol form are disclosed. The substance delivery module includes a plurality of substance containers and a plurality of pistons, with each substance container being mounted in the module for cooperation with a dedicated piston. Another substance delivery module is disclosed that includes a piston defining a delivery axis and a substance container, moveably mounted with respect to the piston. The substance container is moveable along the delivery axis and may, for example, be moved toward and onto the piston. Either of the substance delivery modules may be assembled with an aerosol generator and an aerosol delivery conduit in fluid communication with the aerosol generator to form an apparatus for delivering substance in aerosol form. The apparatus may further include a control module.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICES AND METHODS FOR ADMINISTERING SUBSTANCES TO A BODY CAVITY BY HETEROGENOUS AEROSOLIZATION FOR TREATMENT OF BINGE-EATING DISORDERS ANDOR OBESITY
The present invention provides means and methods for delivering a predetermined volume of a substance, within at least one body cavity of a subject, comprising a predefined volume for containing the predetermined volume of the at least one substance; a delivery end for placement in proximity to the body cavity; the delivery end comprises at least one orifice of diameter D [mm]; a valve mechanically connectable to the container, characterized by at least two configurations: (i) an ACTIVE CONFIGURATION in which the valve enables delivery of predetermined volume V.sub.sub [ml] of the substance; and, (ii) an INACTIVE CONFIGURATION, in which the valve prevents delivery of the predetermined volume V.sub.sub [ml] of the substance from the container to the body cavity; and a fluid tight chamber configured to contain predetermined volume V.sub.gas [ml] of pressurized gas at a predetermined pressure, P.sub.gas [barg].
AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DISPENSING LIQUID AEROSOL-FORMING SUBSTRATE WITH PUMPED AIR
An aerosol-generating system may include a liquid storage portion, a vaporizer, and a pump. The liquid storage portion may be configured to store a liquid aerosol-forming substrate. The vaporizer may be configured to volatilize the liquid aerosol-forming substrate. The pump may be configured to pump air into the liquid storage portion so as to push out a volume of the liquid aerosol-forming substrate from the liquid storage portion and to supply the volume of the liquid aerosol-forming substrate to the vaporizer. A method for generating an aerosol may be performed with the system.
