Device for dispensing a fluid product
A fluid dispenser device comprising: a dose counter for indicating the number of doses that have been dispensed or that remain to be dispensed, said counter comprising: at least one rotary counter element provided with indicator means, such as digits or numbers, and provided with a first set of teeth and with a second set of teeth; a movable actuator element adapted to co-operate with said first set of teeth of said counter element so as to turn it; and anti-return means adapted to co-operate with said second set of teeth so as to prevent said counter element from turning in the direction opposite to the direction that is imposed by said actuator element; said anti-return means comprising a tip that is substantially V-shaped, and that, after each actuation of the counter, co-operates with a respective tooth of said second set of teeth in a blocking position, said tip comprising a first branch that is adapted to co-operate in the blocking position with a blocking shoulder of said tooth, and a second branch that is plane and adapted to co-operate with a plane surface of said teeth, said plane second branch and said plane surface being coplanar when said tip is in the blocking position, said tip being urged resiliently towards said blocking position so as to ensure accurate positioning of said counter element after each actuation of the counter.
DOSE DELIVERY DEVICE FOR INHALATION
Methods and devices for delivering a dose, such as a medicament, for inhalation. A dose may be stored by a delivery device and dispersed and delivered in a metered fashion to a subject, such as by the subject inhaling via a mouthpiece of the delivery device. One or more chambers of the device may have a toroidal shape and may be arranged to be selectively opened for fluid communication with a flow path of the delivery device, such as by sliding the chamber relative to a portion of the flow path. The flow path may include a restriction that permits air to bypass the chamber, and/or the chamber may be arranged so that fluid entering the chamber interacts with fluid exiting the chamber so as to enhance dispersion of the dose.
DISPENSING DEVICE
A device for dispensing individual doses of powder from respective pockets of a disc-shaped carrier by outwardly rupturing a lidding foil by means of pressure on an opposite side surface, the device providing individual respective deaggregation flow paths for each pocket, split airstreams allowing improved entrainment of powder, a cam mechanism for outwardly rupturing the pockets, an indexing mechanism linked to the cam mechanism and a dose counter.
Inhalation Device
The present invention provides for the integration of drug dispersion methods into a drug or medicine delivery system. The drug dispersion methods used include shear (e.g., air across a drug, with or without a gas assist), capillary flow or a venturi effect, mechanical means such as spinning, vibration, or impaction, and turbulence (e.g., using mesh screens, or restrictions in the air path). These methods of drug dispersion allow for all of the drug in the system to be released, allowing control of the dosage size. These methods also provide for drug metering, fluidization, entrainment, deaggragation and deagglomeration. The present invention also provides for the integration of a drug sealing system into the device. The drug sealing system provides a way of blocking the migration of drug from one area of the package to another. The drug seal system can also provide a method of tightly containing the drug until the package is opened, of directing airflow through the package and of managing and containing the drug during the package/device manufacturing process.
DOSE COUNTER ASSEMBLIES FOR MEDICAMENT DISPENSERS
There is provided a dose counter assembly for use with a medicament dispenser, the dose counter assembly comprising: a) a units dose display means comprising a first count indicia and one or more driver teeth; b) a tens dose display means comprising a second count indicia; and c) a driver, wherein the first count indicia and second count indicia align at a common viewing area to collectively display a count sequence.
Dose Feedback Mechanisms and Assemblies for User Feedback
The present disclosure relates to a medicament dispenser for dispensing medicament. The dispenser may be for use in dispensing medicament in a liquid, pressurized aerosol, pre-filled container and in any medicament dispenser where dose related feedback is required. Mechanisms and assemblies provide dose related feedback to the user of the medicament dispenser and the physical interfaces and attributes associated with providing such feedback. The present disclosure also relates to dose feedback assemblies that can be adapted to various form factors, various individual components and elements of the container-closure system, and/or various target user interfaces. The dispenser is suited for dispensing propellant based pressurized inhalation aerosols for oral and/or nasal delivery; aqueous or non-aqueous systems for oral and/or nasal delivery; liquid dispensers for nasal delivery, multi-dose pre-filled syringes or pens; or dispensers for intra-muscular or subcutaneous delivery and powders for pulmonary administration and tablets, capsules, pellets or agglomerates for oral administration. The dispenser may dispense a propellant based pressurized inhalation aerosol comprising one or more active pharmaceutical ingredient(s) (API) and optionally, one or more propellant, cosolvent, solubilizer, emulsifier, surfactant, salt, acid and micronized or non-micronized pharmaceutically acceptable carrier(s) and/or excipient(s), wherein the dispensing process includes a press and breathe type or breath actuated or other multi-step operation medicament dispensers.
DEVICE FOR INHALING POWDER-TYPE SUBSTANCES, SUBSTANCE CONTAINER FOR A DEVICE OF THIS TYPE AND METHOD FOR FILLING A DEVICE OF THIS TYPE
A device for inhaling powder-type substances includes a plurality of substance containers that can be moved successively into an emptying position, wherein the substance containers—which are not connected to one another—are accommodated in direct contact with one another in a guide unit attached to the device and can be moved by contact pressure propagating among the substance containers. The guide unit has a drive wheel with accommodating forms separated by drive teeth. The substance container in the emptying position is located in an accommodating form of the drive wheel. A substance container for a device for inhaling powder-type substances has two sub-regions, each separately having an amount of the substance, and both sub-regions have an openable, pierceable cover. A method for filling a device for inhaling powder-type substances uses a plurality of substance containers that can be moved successively into an emptying position.
