A vent arrangement for a mask system includes a mask component and a mask vent provided to the mask component. The mask vent includes a plurality of vent holes each extending through a thickness of the mask component and each including a vent exit, and a continuous side wall structured to surround the plurality of vent exits of the vent holes.

A heated conduit is configured to connect to and receive pressurized breathable gas from a respiratory unit. The heated conduit includes a first cuff that includes an air inlet portion and an electrical connector portion that is adjacent the air inlet portion and comprises three electrical terminals that are configured to engage a respiratory unit electrical connector. The heated conduit also includes a second cuff comprising an air outlet and a flexible tube portion with a first end connected to the first cuff, a second end connected to the second cuff, and a spiral rib structure wrapped around a central lumen. A grouping of wires is supported within the spiral rib structure of the flexible tube portion and include a pair of heating wires and a signal wire. A sensing device extends into the gas flow path from an interior surface of the second cuff and is configured to output a signal indicative of the condition inside the heated conduit.

Method and apparatus for managing moisture buildup in pressurised breathing systems
A patient interface is configured to deliver a pressurized flow of respiratory gas to a patient's airways. The patient interface includes a cushion and shell assembly with a cushion portion mounted on a shell portion that is more rigid than the cushion portion. The cushion portion is configured to sealingly engage the patient's face and has a vent opening. The shell portion includes a plurality of headgear connectors. The patient interface further includes a gas washout vent assembly configured to be positioned within the vent opening of the cushion portion. The gas washout vent assembly includes a main body configured to be secured to the cushion portion, a porous body, and an outer cover with a plurality of openings. The main body at least partially houses the porous body and the outer cover.
Cushion for a respiratory mask assembly
A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame and a cushion. The cushion has a non-face contacting portion structured to be connected to the frame, a face-contacting portion structured to engage the patient's face, and a central portion that interconnects the non-face contacting portion and the face contacting portion. The frame may be structured to allow a forehead support to assume multiple positions, to compensate for replacement cushions that may have a different profile, shape or size. The cushion is structured to compensate for variations in strap tension, treatment pressure and/or movement of the patient. Headgear may be provided with a strap assembly in which one or more straps is provided with selectively adjustable elasticity or extensibility that may be automatically changed in dependence of treatment pressure and/or treatment type.

A mask system including a frame module and a cushion module provided to the frame module and adapted to form a seal with the patient's face. The cushion module includes a main body defining a breathing chamber and adapted to interface with the frame module and a cushion adapted to form a seal with the patient's face. The main body and the cushion are comolded with one another.
