Post nasal drip treatment
Systems and methods for treating a patient's mucus hypersecretion condition are disclosed herein. Certain implementations may involve a method for reducing mucus secretion in an upper airway of a patient to treat at least one of post nasal drip or chronic cough. The method may include advancing a treatment delivery portion of an energy-based treatment device into a nostril of the patient. The treatment delivery portion may contact mucosal tissue of the upper airway without piercing the mucosal tissue. The treatment delivery portion may deliver treatment to at least one tissue selected from the group of the mucosal tissue and another tissue underlying the mucosal tissue to modify a property of the at least one tissue and thus treat at least one of post nasal drip or chronic cough in the patient.
TREATING UPPER AIRWAY NERVE TISSUE
Systems and methods for treating a patient's mucus hypersecretion condition are disclosed herein. Hemodialysis double lumen needle angio catheter
An angio catheter for hemodialysis is disclosed. The angio catheter comprises a steel cylindrical element for introducing into a patient's blood vessel. The invention also includes a needle including a first lumen and a second lumen, each lumen hermetically separate from the other, wherein the needle is located within the cylindrical element. The invention further includes a first tube for supplying fluid to or from the first lumen and a second tube for supplying fluid to or from the second lumen, wherein fluid may flow within the first lumen independently from fluid flowing within the second lumen. The invention also includes a first flange extending perpendicularly from both sides of the cylindrical element and a second flange extending perpendicularly from both sides of an offset neck of the needle.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, KITS, AND METHODS FOR DELIVERING THERAPEUTIC AGENTS
An injection catheter includes a drive mechanism, an elongate, flexible tubular body, and a first inner member. The tubular body has a distal end portion, a proximal end portion, and defines a first lumen extending therebetween. The first inner member includes a proximal end coupled to the drive mechanism and is rotatably disposed within the first lumen. The first inner member and the first lumen define an annular gap therebetween configured to deliver a therapeutic agent contained therein from the proximal end portion to the distal end portion of the tubular body when the first inner member is rotated within the lumen such that shear stresses exerted on the therapeutic agent are less than 500 pascals.
MEDICAL NEEDLE PLACEMENT DEVICE AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
A device for positioning and inserting a medical needle assembly into a patient. The device includes a base configured to be placed adjacent to a needle insertion site on the patient which includes a plurality of positioning features configured to be used for positioning and aligning the device on the patient. The device includes a needle channel and a needle guidance protrusion disposed on the top of the base. The needle guidance protrusion includes a sloped surface having a first end disposed adjacent to the needle channel and a second end displaced from the first end and is sloped such that the second end is disposed higher than the first end. A needle assembly is configured to be pushed down the sloped surface such that the needle of the needle assembly travels through the needle channel to the needle insertion site.
