Check valve, especially for medical applications

A non-return valve, in particular for medical purposes, including a first hose connection housing, a second hose connection housing and a membrane disk which is made from flexible material. The membrane disk is arranged between the two hose connection housings and can be raised up from an annular valve seat in communication with an inlet space which is connected to an inlet passage. A medium-permeable formation which faces the membrane disk is arranged on the inlet side into the inlet space, supporting the membrane disk against overextension in the case of high return pressures.

Flow system for medical lines

A flow system for medical lines includes a flow component having a main duct and at least one lateral tubular fitting with a female luer cone communicating with the main duct) through a valve. The valve includes a transverse diaphragm normally kept in fluid-tight contact against an annular valve seat of the lateral tubular fitting, which can be moved away from this into an opening position following upon insertion of a male luer-cone introducer of fluid into the lateral tubular fitting. The diaphragm is prearranged for being pushed into the opening position directly by the introducer, and the lateral tubular fitting is configured to couple in a fluid-tight way with the introducer before the latter comes into contact of thrust with the diaphragm.

Use of Automatic Flow Regulators for Flow Modulation During Blood Collection

A flow regulator for a blood collection assembly includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet, which defines an interior space between the inlet and the outlet. A membrane having a first surface and a second surface is disposed at least partially within the interior space. The membrane has a first position where a flow path between the inlet and the outlet is substantially open, and a second position where the flow path between the inlet and the outlet is at least partially restricted. The membrane is configured to move between the first and second positions in response to a pressure differential acting on the membrane.

Valve for fluid ejector

A valve assembly for a dental suction system. The valve assembly includes a valve body having an inlet, an outlet and a fluid flow path extending between the inlet and the outlet. The valve assembly also includes a valve plug positioned at least partially within the valve body and including a through-passage. The valve plug is rotatable relative to the valve body to selectively alter a flow of fluid along the fluid flow path. The fluid flow path exhibits a varied cross-sectional area along a length of the fluid flow path.

SINGLE-USE GENDERLESS ASEPTIC FLUID COUPLINGS

An aseptic fluid coupling includes a main body, a front face, a termination that is at an opposite end of the main body in comparison to the front face, an alignment post extending from a portion of the front face, and an alignment guide defining internal space configured to slidably receive an alignment post of another aseptic fluid coupling when two of the aseptic fluid couplings are mated together

Hemostasis valve orientation relative to the fluid space in a introducer sheath

A hemostasis device includes a valve, the valve being sized and configured to be disposed entirely within a handle of medical device, the valve including a rim, the rim be sized and configured to seal with a lumen of the handle of the medical device.

Genderless Aseptic Connector

Disclosed herein are embodiments of a connector system for releasably connecting together tubes, whereby the connector system includes a first coupler including a first coupler passageway disposed within the first coupler, and a first coupler elastically deformable valve operable to seal the first coupler passageway from an external environment. The connector system further includes a second coupler including a second coupler passageway disposed within the second coupler, and a second coupler elastically deformable valve operable to seal the second coupler passageway from the external environment. The first coupler and the second coupler can be substantially identical; thus, the first coupler and the second coupler can be genderless, as opposed to a connector system comprising a male coupler and a female coupler. The connector system can further include a first coupler valve operable to interrupt the fluid flow through the first coupler passageway, and a second coupler valve operable to interrupt fluid flow through the second coupler passageway.

NEEDLELESS CONNECTOR

Needleless connectors are described that can include a housing and a flexible valve element, the flexible valve element positioned within a cavity of the needleless connector to selectively permit flow between proximal and distal fluid ports of the housing, and the flexible valve element including a valve head, a valve stem, and a valve diaphragm, the flexible valve element further including features to resist obstruction of fluid flow between the valve head and the valve diaphragm, including a fluid flow pathway along any of a shoulder of the valve head and the valve diaphragm, where the fluid flow pathway can be formed by any of a channel and a rib. The flexible valve element can further include a diaphragm formed as a bellows to resist or reduce strain on the flexible valve element when the needleless connector is activated.

A check valve, including a valve and a valve support surface, to permit a fluid to move through the check valve in a first direction and resist a fluid flow through the valve in a second direction, the valve having a valve diaphragm and an isolating bridge, with a portion of the valve engaging against valve support surface to resist deformation or stretching of the valve when a backflow of fluid into the check valve occurs. The valve support surface having a first surface portion and a second surface portion, and the valve positioned with the valve diaphragm spaced apart from the first surface portion, and the isolating bridge spaced apart from the second surface portion.
