Buttstock
A buttstock includes a main body and a protecting member. The main body includes a shell member and an automated external defibrillator disposed in the shell member. The protecting member is movably connecting with the shell member of the main body so as to move relative to the shell member between a first position and a second position, wherein the protecting member shields the automated external defibrillator at the first position and exposes the automated external defibrillator at the second position respectively.
Headrest structure
A headrest structure is provided and includes a body and two supporting rods. The body includes a covering cushion and an automated external defibrillator (AED). The AED is enclosed by the covering cushion. Each of the supporting rods includes a linking end and a combining end opposite to the linking end, and each of the supporting rods is connected to the body with the linking end so as to support the body. Based on this, the AED is assembled in the body to improve the applicability of the AED, so that patients experiencing cardiac arrest can be treated properly and instantly.
Wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system using sensor modules with reassurance code for confirmation before shock
A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (“WCD”) system includes a support structure that can be worn by a patient, and a defibrillator coupled to the support structure. An ECG input, rendered from an ECG of the patient, may meet a primary shock criterion. One or more sensor modules are further provided, which are worn by the patient at different times. The sensor modules may monitor different physiological parameters of the patient, and transmit signals about them. The WCD system further has a multi-sensor interface to receive the transmitted signals, and a processor to determine from them whether a secondary shock criterion is met. If both the primary and the secondary shock criteria are met, the decision is to shock. The signals increase specificity of the detection, while the patient can wear different modules depending on context.
Moulded in place seal plug and suture anchor
An implantable pulse generator includes a device housing containing pulse generator circuitry and a header molded to the device housing. The header can be formed of an epoxy header material. A header component can have a first part molded in the header material to fix the header component to the header at a surface of the header and a second part extending out of the header material.
PORTABLE AED CASE
A mobile case for an AED includes a device for regulating the temperature in order to keep the AED within its operational temperature range of 0 to 45° C. for at least 48 hours. The case may also include sensors controlling temperature, global position and the technical status of the AED as well as a communication device which allows for reporting the data of the AED and its position to a control center.
Cardiac annuloplasty and pacing procedures, related devices and methods
Devices and methods are disclosed for the treatment or repair of regurgitant cardiac valves, such as a mitral valve. An illustrative annuloplasty device can be placed in the coronary sinus to reshape the mitral valve and reduce mitral valve regurgitation. The disclosure also provides improved techniques for cardiac pacing.
Medical equipment electrodes
Cardiac electrodes and techniques for testing application of the electrodes to a victim are described herein.
WEARABLE THERAPEUTIC DEVICE
A wearable therapeutic device includes a garment configured to be worn on a torso of a patient. The garment has an anterior portion and a posterior portion. The garment is configured to house at least one defibrillator component, a first therapy electrode disposed in the anterior portion of the garment, a second therapy electrode disposed in the posterior portion of the garment, and an alarm module configured to alert the patient of an impending defibrillation shock from the at least one defibrillator component to be delivered by at least one of the first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode. The first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode are configured to be electrically coupled to the at least one defibrillator component. At least one of the first therapy electrode and the second therapy electrode is at least one of woven into the garment and comprises a textile material.
Positive System Alerts
In one embodiment, a method to alert a user of a wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) is described. The method includes determining when a system issue is resolved and issuing an alert when the system issue is resolved. In some embodiments, the method may detect the system issue and issuing a system alert based at least in part on the system issue. The method may then monitor a status of the system issue. In some instances, the method may detect an abnormality in system operation sand determine a severity rating for the abnormality. The method may determine if the abnormality satisfies a time duration threshold based at least in part on the severity rating.
