Also, a phototherapy system having a light guide interfacing with a light source at a connection point, an ambient light sensor, a connector light sensor for detecting (at the connection point) ambient light received by a light emitting pad that is directed into the light guide, and circuitry for determining whether the light guide is correctly connected to the light source based on a difference between the output of the ambient light source and the connector light sensor. Further, a phototherapy system including a light emitting pad having an identification tag and circuitry that modulates a light source based on the identification tag. Additionally, a phototherapy system including a casing encapsulating multiple light emitters and a light emitting pad.

PHOTO-TREATMENT DEVICE
20180185664 · 2018-07-05 ·

A photo-treatment device includes a non-opaque treatment substrate and a radiation-collector beside the substrate. The substrate is sized for a person at which radiation is to be emitted from above the substrate. The substrate has a front surface for receiving the person thereon and a back surface. The radiation-collector captures excess radiation peripheral to the substrate and redirects the excess radiation to the back surface of the substrate.

LED THERAPY BED
20180147418 · 2018-05-31 ·

A light therapy bed including multiple LEDs positioned in individually controllable modules is disclosed. The modules of LEDs are configured to have direct contact or in close proximity to the skin or tissue of the user, through an acrylic or similar cover. The LEDs light the surface and underlying layers of tissue for photodynamic stimulation of the cells. Iterations of the device utilize light known to have a bactericidal effect in the case of acne, MRSA, etc. The bed is fabricated and formed in a curved configuration to optimize contact between the LEDs and the skin of a user. Each of the LED modules may be mounted on a PCB in an arrangement to provide even lighting and temperature upon the skin or tissue surface of a user. Each module also has one or more thermal sensors that evenly and quickly heat all of the areas of a user's body.

RADIATION SOURCE AND SKIN IRRADIATION DEVICE
