Agricultural vehicle with active edge windrow chute
An agricultural vehicle includes: a chassis; a header carried by the chassis and configured to cut crop material; a chopper carried by the chassis downstream of the header; a spreader assembly carried by the chassis downstream of the chopper; and a windrow assembly carried by the chassis downstream of the chopper. The windrow assembly includes: a windrow chute defining a chute surface and a leading edge downstream from the chopper; and a rotatable conveyor associated with the leading edge and having a surface with at least one conveyor projection extending from the surface, the at least one conveyor projection being configured to convey crop material toward at least one of the chute surface and the spreader assembly during rotation.
Mower combination with location based conveyor control
A mower combination having an agricultural vehicle and a number of mowing units suitable for cutting a standing crop connected to the agricultural vehicle, including a front mowing unit and two lateral mowing units located behind and to the sides of the front mowing unit, each of the lateral mowing units being provided with conveyor units to deposit cut crop as a swath. A control unit receives a plurality of signals, representing the location of the mower combination, a displacement of each of the conveyor units and/or a direction of operation of each of the conveyor units. The control unit receives the plurality of signals and compares them against a predetermined set of values and as required adjusts the displacement or direction of operation of at least one conveyor unit based on this comparison.

A mower combination having an agricultural vehicle and a number of mowing units suitable for cutting a standing crop connected to the agricultural vehicle, including a front mowing unit and two lateral mowing units located behind and to the sides of the front mowing unit, each of the lateral mowing units being provided with conveyor units to deposit cut crop as a swath. Agricultural apparatus comprising speed sensors and controls
An agricultural apparatus including an agricultural vehicle and a number of work units suitable for cutting standing crop, including a front work unit and two lateral work units located behind and to the sides of the front work unit, each of the work units deposit cut crop as a swath. Each of the lateral work units include a conveyor to deposit cut crop. A plurality of sensors determine the speed of the agricultural apparatus and the speed of operation of each of the conveyors. A control unit receives inputs from the sensors, compares the inputs to a predetermined set of values for a desired vehicle speed and a speed of operation of the conveyors, and as indicated by the comparison, adjusts the speed of operation of at least one conveyor.
Work vehicle with wheel/track crop swath avoidance
A work vehicle for working a swath of crop has at least one ground-engaging wheel or track mounted to the work vehicle and movable in a travel direction along a tread path. A first redistribution device is mounted to the work vehicle to move crop that is ahead of the at least one ground-engaging wheel or track relative to the travel direction. A second redistribution device is mounted to the work vehicle to move crop that is behind the at least one ground-engaging wheel or track relative to the travel direction. The first redistribution device is configured to open the swath of crop along substantially only the tread path ahead of the at least one ground-engaging wheel or track relative to the travel direction, and the second redistribution device is configured to close the swath of crop along the tread path behind the at least one ground-engaging wheel or track relative to the travel direction.
DOUBLE WINDROW CONVERTER
The embodiments herein provide a double windrow converter assembly. The double windrow converter assembly is removably attachable behind a towing vehicle or a swather. The converter enables creation of a double windrow of freshly cut hay (with high moisture content). The converter picks up the freshly cut hay windrow using a pickup head which is then diverted to a trough. The hay collected in the trough is discharged on one side of the field to create a first half of the double swath. The swather and the double windrow converter assembly are then operated in opposite direction to generate second half of double swath. Thus, use of the double windrow converter assembly along with swather helps in accomplishing two tasks/operations in a single pass. The assembly also eliminates need for using a rake to pick up dried hay from the field on waiting for a few days after swathing.
