AGRICULTURAL SWEEP WITH WEAR RESISTANT COATING
20240164234 · 2024-05-23 ·

An agricultural device with a wear resistant coating comprising a shank portion that may be attached to an agricultural implement. First and second rear wings connect to an intermediate portion that connects to the shank portion. First and second shoulders are formed at the points where the rear wings meet the intermediate portion, and a patch of wear resistant coating is applied at each of the first and second shoulders. A first edge tapers forwardly from the first rear wing to a point, and a second edge tapers forwardly from the second rear wing to the point. Wear resistant coating may also be applied to the first and second edges or the point. Wear resistant coating may be applied to the agricultural device in a pattern that is specific to soil type.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING BENT GROUND-ENGAGING SHANKS ON AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
20240147885 · 2024-05-09 ·

An agricultural implement includes a shank assembly having an attachment section and a ground-engaging shank. Furthermore, the agricultural implement includes first and second fasteners coupling the attachment section to a frame member of the agricultural implement. Additionally, the agricultural implement includes a first load sensor configured to generate data indicative of a first load being applied to the first fastener by the shank assembly. Moreover, the agricultural implement includes a second load sensor configured to generate data indicative of a second load being applied to the second fastener by the shank assembly. In addition, the agricultural implement includes a computing system configured to determine when the ground-engaging shank is bent based on the data generated by the first and second load sensors.

SEEDING APPARATUS
20190239420 · 2019-08-08 ·

A seeding boot, for a seeding apparatus mountable on a tyne, or adjacent a soil-opening disc, of a tillage implement, has a hollow boot body mountable adjacent the lower end of the tyne or lower portion of the soil-opening disc. A seed distributor in the boot body has a seed inlet connectable to a source of seeds; at least one seed outlet spaced laterally from the tyne or soil-opening disc; and at least one fertiliser or chemical distributor located rearwardly of the tyne or the soil-opening disc. The seed outlet(s) are provided at, or adjacent, the distal ends of laterally-extending hollow wings, which extend from the seed distributor. When two fertiliser or chemical distributors are provided, the first distributor is connected to dry or granular fertiliser; while the second distributor is connected to liquid fertiliser or chemical(s); the outlet from the second distributor is located intermediate the tyne or soil-opening disc and the outlet from the first distributor; and the outlets of the first and second distributors are at a reduced depth in the soil relative to the seed outlet(s).

RETENTION ASSEMBLY FOR GRADER MACHINE BLADE

A retention assembly, to slidably retain a blade to a support bracket of a grader machine, includes a yoke, a bearing arrangement, and one or more pins. The yoke is adapted to be coupled to the support bracket, and includes a first sidewall, a second sidewall, and a cavity defined therebetween. The first sidewall defines a first thickness and one or more first bores. The second sidewall defines a second thickness and one or more second bores. The second bores are correspondingly co-axial to the first bores. The bearing arrangement is received within the cavity and is adapted to support the blade for a sliding movement of the blade relative to the bearing arrangement. Further, the pins extend correspondingly through at least one of the first bores or the second bores, and into the cavity to engage and retain the bearing arrangement within the cavity.

Seeding opener system

A seeding opener system which allows seeds or other particulate materials to be spread at an appropriate depth with minimal disruption of the ground surface. The seeding opener system generally includes an implement which is driven by a tractor. A cutter extends from the implement which includes a blade adapted to cut into the ground surface beneath the implement. The cutter is adjustable so as to lower the blade to a desired depth beneath the ground surface, or raise the blade above the ground surface when not in use. The blade includes a configuration which ensures that soil backfills over the blade to minimize disturbance of the ground surface during seeding operations. A deflector on the lower end of the blade ensures that seeds are uniformly distributed beneath the ground surface when in use.
