Abdominal exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus for performing an abdominal exercise comprising: a frame, a seat having a seating surface (PS) and a pelvic stabilization pad having a lower back engagement surface (ES), an input arm assembly interconnected by a first interconnection to a first resistance mechanism, the input arm assembly including a manually graspable mechanism for manual engagement by a user along a path of travel forwardly away from the pelvic stabilization pad.
Assisted chin/dip exercise apparatus with adjustable chin-up/pull-up handles
An assisted chin/dip exercise apparatus has a main frame and an assist or foot bar pivotally mounted on the frame and linked to a weight stack or resistance for assisting a user standing on the foot bar during performance of chin and dip exercises. The main frame has a first, overhead handle assembly and a second, dip handle assembly below the first handle assembly. The first handle assembly includes a pair of adjustably mounted handles freely pivotable between a first, chin-up position in which the handles extend towards one another at a rearward angle with a small spacing between the handles and a second, pull-up position in which the handles extend in a forward direction and are spaced apart by a larger spacing sufficient to provide head clearance for a user stepping onto the foot bar or while performing a dip exercise.
MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR USE IN AN EXERCISE MACHINE
A measurement system for use in an exercise machine, which exercise machine comprises a lifting mechanism and an engaging member for selectively engaging a number of stacked weights to the lifting mechanism, the measurement system comprising a pair of cooperating members including a range meter and a reflector member, wherein one of the cooperating members is connected to the lifting mechanism and the other of the cooperating members is connected to the engaging member, wherein the range meter is directed to measure a distance to the reflector member to determine a distance which correlates to the weight of the selectively engaged weights.
SELECTORIZED SMITH MACHINE WITH MOVABLE CARRIAGE AND RACK
An exercise apparatus comprising: a frame having a first vertical guide and a second vertical guide; a first selectorized weight stack and a second selectorized weight stack coupled to the frame; a first carriage assembly and a second carriage assembly coupled to the first and second selectorized weight stacks, respectively, each of the first and second carriage assemblies comprising a rack having a number of openings; and an exercise bar movably coupled to the frame, the exercise bar having a first end comprising a first latching hook and a second end having a second latching hook, the first latching hook or the second latching hook configured to engage or disengage with an opening of the number of openings in the rack to adjust a resistance of the exercise bar.
WEIGHT LIFTING MACHINE
Weight lifting machine includes adjustable weight assembly having a plurality of individual weights, a weight displacement mechanism which displaces one or more of the weights in a direction against a resistive force and a weight selection mechanism arranged to selectively engage one or more of the individual weights with said weight displacement mechanism. A handle applies a force to a horizontal bar connected to the handle which is connected to the weight displacement to move the weight displacement mechanism. The weight assembly further comprises a housing enclosing the individual weights, the weight displacement mechanism and the weight selection mechanism such that a user is prevented from coming into contact with any moving parts arranged in the housing and a displaceable selector handle arranged on an outer portion of the housing and arranged to operate the weight selection mechanism. Furthermore, the horizontal bar is arranged outside the housing.
BACK STRETCHING APPARATUS
A back stretching apparatus includes an upstanding frame defining a stretching zone wherein a user can move a pair of lightly weighted hand grips between an overhead reaching position and a bent over stretched position. A light weight resistance is provided by a weight stack carried within upright frame members and interconnected by an internal pulley and cable system. A stabilization bar is disposed forwardly of the upright frame members and provides the user a target for the stretching and stabilization of the user in the stretched position. The light weight resistance permits the user to stretch their back muscles without exertion to limit the likelihood of back injury.
Weight Training Machine Capable Of Adjusting Strength
A weight training machine generally includes a supportive frame, a first mechanism, and a second mechanism. The first mechanism includes a first weight stack, a first cable system, and a second cable system. The second mechanism includes a second weight stack, a third cable system, and a fourth cable system. In each of the first and second mechanisms, one end of a cable can be easily attached to a moving pulley block to have the moving pulley block converted to a fixed pulley block. As a result, the force applied to a handle for lifting the associated weight stack becomes double as compared to the cable being not attached to the moving pulley block.
DYNAMICALLY VARIABLE RADIUS CAM FOR WEIGHT LIFTING APPARATUS
A variable radius cam mechanism is configured for use in a weight lifting apparatus. The variable radius cam mechanism includes a disk configured to rotate about an axis. The cam mechanism includes a cable guide coupled to the disk and defining a path for a cable and a radial tangent distance between the cable and the axis. The cam mechanism further includes one or more actuators coupled to the disk and the cable guide and configured to move the cable guide relative to the disk to change the radial tangent distance during rotation about the axis. The cam mechanism includes a controller programmed to operate the one or more actuators to cause the one or more actuators to move the cable guide to change the radial tangent distance thereby changing a force transferred through the cam mechanism.
Adjustable exercise apparatus
Disclosed herein are various embodiments of an exercise apparatus. In certain embodiments, an exercise apparatus comprises a frame and a seat assembly, the seat assembly comprising a seat, the seat configured to move between a first position and a second position, wherein the first position accommodates use of the exercise apparatus by a user sitting on the seat and wherein the second position accommodates use of the exercise apparatus by a user sitting in a wheelchair. The seat assembly may be pivotably coupled to the frame. The seat assembly may comprise a stop configured to inhibit movement of the seat, and may further comprise a biasing element that is biased to disengage the stop.
Exercise machine with flexible handles
An exercise machine includes a supporting frame, a weight provider which is supported by the supporting frame for providing different adjustable resistance levels, a body exercising system operatively coupled at the supporting frame to link with the weight provider, and two flexible handles. Each of the flexible handles includes an elongated flexible strip, a fastening member affixed to a first end of the flexible strip to form a coupling end of the flexible handle for detachably coupling at the upper body exercising system, and a handgrip affixed to an opposed second end of said flexible strip to form a handgrip end of the flexible handle for enabling an exerciser to perform free motion press and fly exercises.
