Provided is a weight exercise apparatus. The weight exercise apparatus includes an exercise main body in which movement is generated according to a user's weight exercise, a sensor module configured to detect movement of the exercise main body, and a processor configured to control a user interface (UI) unit to display a UI element indicating an exercise state of a user corresponding to the detected movement on a UI screen wherein the sensor module includes a first laser sensor configured to irradiate a first laser beam toward the weight plate or a component moving together with the weight plate to detect a moving distance of the weight plate when the weight plate moves and a second laser sensor configured to irradiate a second laser beam toward a component that does not move in spite of movement of the weight plate when the weight plate moves.

Magnetic weight selector
09849326 · 2017-12-26 · ·

A weight plate for use in a weight stack of an exercise machine includes a locking member moveably attached to the weight plate between an interlocked position and an unlocked position. The weight plate further includes an interlocking magnet attached to the weight plate to retain the locking member in the interlocked position and an unlocking magnet attached to the weight plate to retain the locking member in the unlocked position.

Weight stack isolator and selectorized machine incorporating the same

A weight stack isolator comprises an impact damper having a rail void therein configured to receive a guide rail of a selectorized machine. The impact damper is shaped to at least partially surround a section of the guide rail when received in the rail void, to secure the weight stack isolator to the selectorized machine. The weight stack isolator may include a slit extending from its outer perimeter to the rail void or the rail void may extend to the outer perimeter, to removably receive the guide rail in the rail void. The weight stack isolator can be positioned under a weight stack of the selectorized machine to absorb or dampen noise and vibration.

BI-DIRECTIONAL EXERCISE MACHINES

A bi-directional exercise machine has a work arm, first and second cams coupled to the work arm, a resistance mechanism, and a pulley assembly that couples the resistance mechanism to the work arm via the first and second cams so that movement of the work arm is resisted by the resistance mechanism according to first and second resistance profiles provided by the first and second cams, respectfully. A primary pulley cable has a first end coupled to the first cam and a second end coupled to the second cam. When the work arm is in a rest position, the ends of the primary pulley cable extend from cable tracks of the cams, respectively, at a tangent so that the resistance mechanism applies a resistance force on the work arm via the pulley assembly immediately upon movement of the work arm out of the rest position.

Linear bearings and alignment method for weight lifting apparatus

A weight system having at least one weight stack moveable in a vertical direction on a lift rod, and a bearing block for housing a linear bearing. The invention further includes a method and apparatus for aligning the linear bearing.

Gluteus Maximus Power Lift Apparatus
20170291057 · 2017-10-12 ·

The gluteal muscles are exercised using a vertical lift strategy. It is much improved over common buttock exercise methods of sitting, laying, squatting or pushing weight horizontally. The (GM) power lift apparatus is operated in a standing position. Using commercial exercise design methods, the GM power lift apparatus is designed around the lifting of a variable weight plate stack. Three pullies redirect the pull force of the weight plate under the operator's foot as lift on the gluteus maximus muscle group. The new standing design allows improved muscle agitation by making the gluteus maximus muscle group lift a vertical payload, the maximum angle of force. During the power lift stroke, the foot, leg and back muscles are vertically synchronized to horizontal stretched forearms providing greater strength management.

FITNESS STRUCTURE
