EXERCISE SYSTEM
According to one example, an exercise system includes a vertical housing, a first weighted touchpoint coupled to the vertical housing and configured to allow a user to exercise one or more muscles on a first side of the user, a first weight system coupled to the first weighted touchpoint, a second weighted touchpoint coupled to the vertical housing and configured to allow the user to exercise one or more muscles on a second side of the user, and a second weight system coupled to the second weighted touchpoint. The exercise system further includes a control system configured to cause the first weight system to automatically provide a first heavier weight to the first weighted touchpoint for a first exercise and further cause the second weight system to automatically provide a second lighter weight to the second weighted touchpoint for the first exercise.
Exercise machine and cross trainer
The present invention is directed, in part, to a system and methods for combining newly designed cardiovascular equipment with the added features of an upper body weight training regimen in order to provide a user a full body workout, cardiovascular exercise and weight training simultaneously. The invention does so by employing either a weight tray apparatus configured to newly designed cardiovascular equipment or machine or through the use of an adjustable weight training apparatus combined with the newly designed cardiovascular equipment or machine. More specifically, the present invention relates to a system and methods for combining newly designed cardiovascular equipment including stationary and recumbent bikes, elliptical machines, treadmills and stair steppers, with a tray apparatus that allows a user to employ free weights. The invention further relates to a system and methods for combining newly designed cardiovascular equipment including stationary and recumbent bikes, elliptical machines, treadmills and stair steppers that are configured with an adjustable weight training apparatus that allows a user to build upper body muscle groups simultaneously with cardiovascular exercise, in effect, providing a full body workout.
Auxiliary weight adjusting device for weight training equipment
An auxiliary weight adjusting device for weight training equipment includes a selector device and auxiliary weight pieces. The selector member of the selector device is provided with positioning portions and rotatably installed on the main weight device of the weight training equipment. The selector device has positioning members arranged on the selection member in a manner of moving in a horizontal direction and corresponding to the positioning portions. The auxiliary weight pieces are adjacent to the main weight device by moving up and down in the vertical direction and correspond to the positioning members and arranged in a straight line or an array in the horizontal direction. The rotation of the selection member makes the positioning portions drive the positioning members to extend toward the auxiliary weight pieces, so that different numbers of auxiliary weight pieces move with the main weight device.
EXERCISE SYSTEM
According to one example, an exercise system includes a vertical housing, a first weight system coupled to a first upper weighted touchpoint, a second weight system coupled to a second upper weighted touchpoint, a third weight system coupled to a first lower weighted touchpoint, and a fourth weight system coupled to a second lower weighted touchpoint. The exercise system further includes a control system that is configured to cause the first weight system to provide weight to the first upper weighted touchpoint independent of each of the second, third, and fourth weight systems, and cause the third weight system to provide weight to the first lower weighted touchpoint independent of each of the first, second, and fourth weight systems. The first upper weighted touchpoint and the first lower weighted touchpoint may allow the user to exercise the first arm and the first leg of the user simultaneously.
LINEAR BEARINGS AND ALIGNMENT METHOD FOR WEIGHT LIFTING APPARATUS
A weight system having at least one weight stack moveable in a vertical direction on a lift rod, and a bearing block for housing a linear bearing. The invention further includes a method and apparatus for aligning the linear bearing.
Bi-directional exercise machines
A bi-directional exercise machine has a work arm, first and second cams coupled to the work arm, a resistance mechanism, and a pulley assembly that couples the resistance mechanism to the work arm via the first and second cams so that movement of the work arm is resisted by the resistance mechanism according to first and second resistance profiles provided by the first and second cams, respectfully. A primary pulley cable has a first end coupled to the first cam and a second end coupled to the second cam. When the work arm is in a rest position, the ends of the primary pulley cable extend from cable tracks of the cams, respectively, at a tangent so that the resistance mechanism applies a resistance force on the work arm via the pulley assembly immediately upon movement of the work arm out of the rest position.
Linear bearings and alignment method for weight lifting apparatus
A weight system having at least one weight stack moveable in a vertical direction on a lift rod, and a bearing block for housing a linear bearing. The invention further includes a method and apparatus for aligning the linear bearing.
Weight lifting device
A weight lifting device including a housing having first frame having first vertical channel for accommodating first weight holding means, and second frame having second vertical channel for accommodating second weight holding means, wherein first vertical channel and second vertical channel are dimensioned so that first weight holding means and second weight holding means can move up and down, when in use, in first vertical channel and second vertical channel, respectively. The weight lifting device also includes a handle bar pivotably connectable to first weight holding means and to second weight holding means from first end of handle bar and second end of handle bar, respectively. The weight lifting device further includes at least one of: first holding bar, second holding bar, first pivotable arm, and second pivotable arm, arranged between pivotably connectable handle bar and first weight holding means and second weight holding means.
Shoulder Exercise Machine
A weight resistance exercise apparatus for the external and internal muscles of the shoulder having a multiple plane unit with a rotating axis armature for exercise in intervening planes, a primary armature, a secondary armature connected at a proximate end to the primary armature and a plurality of mode selection disks disposed on the secondary armature.
Combination exercise assembly and method of use
A combination exercise assembly for performing aerobic and strength training exercises includes a base, which can be positioned on a substantially horizontal surface. A stationary bicycle is engaged to the base so that a user positioned on a seat of the stationary bicycle faces a first end of the base. A lat pulldown machine engaged to the base proximate to a second end of the base is positioned for engagement by the user positioned on the seat of the stationary bicycle. The stationary bicycle is pedaled to perform aerobic exercise and the lat pulldown machine resists a pulldown motion to perform strength training exercises.
