METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIA FOR UTILIZING VISUOMOTOR ERROR AUGMENTATION FOR BALANCE REHABILITATION
Methods, systems, and computer readable media for utilizing visuomotor error augmentation for balance rehabilitation are provided. An exemplary method includes displaying a dynamic virtual environment defined by an optical flow, obtaining position data of an anatomical portion of a subject that is virtually traversing the dynamic virtual environment, and using the position data to determine a mediolateral displacement measurement of the subject. The method further includes utilizing the mediolateral displacement measurement to define feedback control loop data, establishing an augmented visual error that dynamically adjusts the dynamic virtual environment, wherein the augmented visual error is based on the feedback control loop data and a predefined visual gain factor, and adjusting the optical flow of the dynamic virtual environment by using the augmented visual error.
Display device and control method therefor
The present invention relates to a display device including a communicator configured to communicate with an external apparatus that operates for a workout of a user; a display configured to display an image; and a controller configured to determine workout conditions of the user, and control the communicator to transmit a control signal to the external apparatus so that the display can display a corresponding image and the external apparatus can change the operation in accordance with the determined workout conditions of the user.
BICYCLE SIMULATOR
A bicycle simulator including a frame support portion for supporting a bicycle frame, the bicycle frame connecting front and rear wheels of the bicycle; and a base portion supporting the frame support portion. The frame support portion includes a first support bar having one end portion thereof fixed to the bicycle frame, a second support bar having one end portion thereof fixed to the base portion, and a connection portion for connecting the other end portion of the second support bar and the other end portion of the first support bar. The first support bar is connected to be rotatable about one axis with respect to the second support bar.
CONTROL METHOD FOR TREADMILL BASED ON SENSORS
A treadmill may include two separate left and right belts rotating around two sets of rollers, four legs having an adjustable height via air suspension to customize an inclination of the treadmill, a thermoelectric assembly, a fragrance assembly having a rotating fragrance cartridge to emit various smells toward a user of the treadmill, a display on which exercise programs are played, and an attachment module having a dispensing tray on which treats are dispensed. A handle of the treadmill may have a sensor to sense a height and front-rear position, and a belt divider provided between the left and right belts may have position or proximity sensors to sense a left-right position. An inclination of the treadmill may be automatically adjusted according to positions detected by the sensors, and the fragrance assembly, attachment module, and inclination may be automatically operated in accordance with an exercise program played on the display.
INDOOR BICYCLE ADJUSTMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM
A stationary indoor “smart” training bicycle includes a unique combination of adjustable components to provide configurable dimensions to adjust the frame size of the indoor bicycle to properly fit a rider. A system is also provided to process a digital image of an outdoor bicycle and determine and translate dimensions and adjustments to the indoor bicycle to match one or more dimensions (lengths, angles, separations, etc.) of the outdoor bicycle.
TREADMILL HAVING SENSORS
VIRTUAL REALITY HAPTIC SYSTEM AND APPARATUS
A virtual reality (VR) system includes a VR display and a VR movement apparatus that includes hand interfaces and foot interfaces that can support the hands and feet of a system user. The VR movement apparatus allow the user's limbs to move in 3-dimensional space that include vertical, lateral, and fore-aft direction movements. A computer running VR software coordinate and synchronizes the VR movement apparatus and the VR display to provide system users with simulated activities in a VR environment.
BICYCLE SIMULATOR
A bicycle simulator is arranged by arranging a front wheel and a rear wheel of a bicycle on the same plane. The bicycle simulator includes a front roller that supports a front wheel of a bicycle that is mounted and rotates together with a rotation of the front wheel, The bicycle simulator further includes a rear roller that supports a rear wheel of the bicycle and rotates together with a rotation of the rear wheel. A first support point at which the front roller supports the front wheel and a second support point at which the rear roller supports the rear wheel are arranged on the same plane. Not only a substantially flat ride path but also various ride modes in which an inclination angle may be adjusted according to a ride mode may be implemented, and a dynamic experience similar to the actual ride situation may be enjoyed.
Exercise system and method
A deck for a treadmill includes a continuous track, and a plurality of slats connected to the track. The track and the plurality of slats at least partly define an inner space of the deck, and are rotatable about the inner space. The deck also includes a first motor configured to modify a speed of rotation of the track, and a second motor configured to modify a position of the deck relative to a support surface on which the deck is supported. The first motor and the second motor are disposed within the inner space.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTO-SCORING A GOLF-BASED GAME
A method includes determining whether a hit ball comes to rest on a grid. The method includes, when the hit ball does not come to rest on the grid, assigning zero points to the hit ball. When the hit ball comes to rest on the grid, the method includes determining whether the hit ball comes to rest within an accuracy zone of the grid and whether the hit ball comes to rest beyond a long drive marker of the grid. The method includes, when the hit ball does not come to rest within the accuracy zone and does not come to rest beyond the long drive marker, assigning a first number of points. The method includes, when the hit ball does not come to rest within the accuracy zone and comes to rest beyond the long drive marker, assigning a second number of points. The method includes, when the hit ball comes to rest within the accuracy zone and does not come to rest beyond the long drive marker, assigning the second or a different number of points. The method includes, when the hit ball comes to rest within the accuracy zone and comes to rest beyond the long drive marker, assigning a third number of points.
