A portable, wearable radio includes a modular harness having the flexibility to be reconfigured into a plurality of different profiles, the modular harness having an interior and a plurality of radio components removably disposed within the interior of the modular harness. The plurality of radio components includes a first radio component, a second radio component electrically coupled to the first radio component via a first flexible electrical connector, and a third radio component electrically coupled to the first radio component via at least one of a group selected from the first flexible electrical connector and a second flexible electrical connector.

A multipurpose rapid response rescue device comprising a throwable multipurpose camp and rescue bag that in one mode can be used as multi modal rapid response rescue device, which can be employed instantly to rescue a person in distress and in other modes can be used as a water pail or pillow with the camp and rescue bag containing a throwing weight and a rope therein with a one end of the rope secured to the camp and rescue bag so that when the camp and rescue bag is thrown to a remote area or person in distress and the other end of the rope is hand held the rope unfurls from the camp and rescue bag to provide for retrieval of the camp and rescue bag or an object secured thereto.

A jacket includes an inner harness, a jacket for wearing over the harness, and a load for attachment to the harness through attachment openings in the jacket. The load can be an airbag, a backpack, or other load or load carrying member for attaching to the harness. The jacket has at least one back opening providing access to the inner harness, to facilitate the attachment of the load to the harness. The jacket can be readily removed without disturbing the harness or its load. The removed jacket is effectively carried by the load and/or harness to which the load is secured. The inner harness can be used to carry loads without using the jacket.

A backpack frame is convertible from a frame position to a cot position. The backpack frame includes: a first U-shaped member having a closed end and an open end, a first intermediate member having a distal end and a proximal end, the proximal end is hingably connected to the open end of the first U-shaped member, a second intermediate member having a distal end and a proximal end, the distal end of the first intermediate member is hingably connected to the distal end of the second intermediate member, a second U-shaped member having a closed end and an open end, the proximal end of the second intermediate member is hingably connected to the open end of the second U-shaped member. In the frame position, the first U-shaped member, the first intermediate member, the second intermediate member, and the second U-shaped member lie in a single plane.

An exercise mat carrier includes a rigid hollow tube enclosing a space for storing a rolled-up exercise mat. At least one container holds a desiccant and is fluidly connected with the space in the rigid hollow tube for drying the exercise mat. A removable and replaceable flexible material is placed around the outside of the hollow tube allowing for its use as a massage roller. Having the equipment supported on their back allows the user to walk in a more balanced stance and the user just needs to bend forward or backward to accommodate the load or the terrain. The carrier uses pockets for the equipment and for transportation of the carrier equipment. This also leave the hand of the user free while transporting equipment. The carrier uses Buckles that allow the user to just squeeze elements together to release the straps.
